Well I think this has to be one of the biggest surprises of the week, it sems like Melville may have a better year than we all expected. to come back from a big loss against gosnells last week to beating what i think is the favourites is a great result. as for balla, well i think this will be a big reality check as they would have walked into this game thinking than will walk to a win and they definitley didnt.
Bullcreek Leeming (C1)

Stirling (C1)
Its really hard to say how these two teams are going to go this year with Bullcreek getting beat by balla quite easily in the first match and a loss over stirling. With other sides who I thought would be down the bottom end getting some promising results on the weekend i think bullcreek could have a tough year. Stirling have come out with 2 wins, to be fair against two teams I dont think will do well this year but they can only beat who is in front of them. their depth in reserves would be concerning and they would hope they wont get any injuries otherwise their season could turn very quickly
Carlisle (C1)

Gosnells (C1)
No surprise that carlisle were a much better team at home against a side that will be up there this year, they seem to play a much better brand of footy on their own oval but struggle away on larger grounds. They will need to win as many home games as possible for them to be up there but not a bad result. as for gosnells, they are looking good and if they can keep shane at the club i think they will continue to do well and a good result for them on the weekend.

A tale of two teams who came off big losses last week, looks like this was a game you would have loved to watch, what does it say for these two sides. well its hard to say but I cant see them doing a hell of alot this year.

Bassendean (C1)
I was at this game and it really was a game of two halves, Basso were great in the first half and willetton were terrible too, basso's ball movement was great and their big bodies out muscled willetton. willetton kicked 1 goal 11 in a period where the ball was locked in willettons forward line only for it to finally come out and basso to kick a goal. Willetton almost came back and had a chance to get it back to within 13 points but a costly error lead to a counter and a bassendean goal to snap out any chance of a comeback.
