C1
Any thoughts on who’s the team to beat in 2018.
Looks to be a very challenging Competition this year and will be interesting to see how Bassendean and Gosnells fair coming up against some well established and disciplined clubs.
Good luck to all teams and anyone’s thoughts on big recruits / ladder predictions would be welcomed.

My thoughts this year for the ladder

Balla
Carlisle
Quinns
Willo
Gosnells
Stirling
Kenwick
Melville
Bull creek
Basso

Think ballajura will be one side fighting it out in the grandy
Thinking bullcreek to have not the best of years and basso
to do the yo-yo and go strait back down.

Finally round 1 is upon us. No doubt all clubs have been training before Xmas, have recruited well and following their best pre-season ever have never been fitter.
Clearance list looks very busy as it normally does. Has to be taken with a pinch of salt however as a lot of transfers are colts from junior clubs, but in saying that some big senior names being moved into C1 also !
My thoughts:
Balla - were a quality outfit last year, expect them to be right up the top end again
Stirling - always seemed to find the going easier when coming back to C1 in the past
Melville - Proud club, won't have taken last years disaster season lightly and will have a point to prove in 2018
Quinns - always compete and will do so again this year
Willeton - pretty consistent side, probably the most under performing team since coming back from B grade given the size of the club and player group
Bull Creek - as above, came back from B grade and have struggled. Quality side so should win their fair share
Carlisle - been in C1 for a while now, recruited well
Gosnells - dominated C2, but will find it a bit tougher in C1
Kenwick - toward the end of last year really dropped off the pace, expect that to continue
Basso - someone has to finish bottom, sorry Basso
