Do you think that is indicative of the entire comp though?
Do you think the 4th umpire gained any knowledge or a better understanding by having 3 ex panel umpires to work with?
Given they appear to have umpired a lot of games, have they moved from panel to club because they don't feel they are up to the A or B grade standard any more?

There have previously been suggestions that all umpires should be put in a pool and not umpire their own club week in, week out. That might see more leave the game. We need to find some viable solutions to the problem. All I'm saying is that if some panel umpires were to move around in the lower grades, it might help the situation.
