go you raiders!!! cockburn look really good though and had theie chances to win and dominated for many periods of the game... look out for cockburn leauge and ressies (who won by 4points) they will be there come finals from what i saw today.

Went down to Lightning Park to see what all the fuss was about...

I think from the preview you guys have overestimated Noranda or underestimated East Fremantle for 3/4s the game was tight only late goals in the last quarter blew th result out and over all Noranda were fitter then East Fremantle thats what got them over the line...Both clubs looked to suffer season ending injuries with the ambulance making 2 trips to the ground

They certainly not as good as Canning Vale were last season...

The Reserves was your typical reservers game neither side looked like they had many players that could step up and play league so depth might be an issue at both clubs. Noranda got up by couple of goals thanks to some good goalkicking

I Think they will probably finish in the 5 but if they are outright premiership favourites then C3 cant be that good of a comp i think looking at the results you need to give other clubs consideration as well...

I think everyone just talking up them and talking down their own clubs...

All the other results were tight so i think its gunna be an open competition

Good game of league footy at Light Street on Saturday. It was a hard fought win by the Raiders and if Cockburn kicked straight it may have been a different story.

Cracker in the two's with Cockburn getting the 4 points with the last kick of the day!

Good to get the first game out of the way and looking forward to round 2!

ellenbrook travelled down to belmont on saturday ready for the start of a new season!

belmont got off to a good early start in the colts winning easily by about 20 goals, hopefully some of our colts boys that have been skipping training get on down!

in the ressies, our boys got their aim of a three-peat off to an emphatic start winning by 99 points.

in the league, belmont got the early jump kicking the first 4 goals of the game, before the eels settled with the next 2 before quarter time. from here on in the game was really played in ellenbrooks half and due to some poor kicking at goal and on occasion over-use of the pill, couldnt really put them away. with about 10 mins to go in the 4th and plenty of boys cramping, belmont seemed to lift but it was too little too late with the eels starting the season with a 20 pt victory!

also to belmont, the renovations are looking good and when its all done you have some top notch change rooms and club rooms there!

As longs as they turn the hot water on Red......
No need for ice baths, the away showers will do.
