League
Semi final 1 Dianella vs Mosman
I think dianella had a off game and still will challenge for the gf.
Mosman got a early start on our boys and sustained it but I don't think they can go all the way.
Dianella to win 4 goals.

Semi final 2 Snesa vs Ellenbrook
Ellenbrook are a very young and well trained team I reckon they'll be strong for a good few years to come.
Snesa are very similar but have a bit more maturity that will help them over the line in this one.
Snesa to win 2 goals

Reserves
Semi final 1 Mosman vs Cottesloe
Mini derby for this one.. having both league and reserves at the one ground might help Mosman get the upper hand on this one.
Mosman to win in a tight one 1 goal

Semi final 2 Ellenbrook vs Piara
Well what can I say Ellenbrook have been very good this season in reserves can they hold onto the undefeated streak? Our boys have been travelling nicely this year with a few back from working away we can go all the way!
Piara to win in a tight one also by a goal

Ahhh the glorious weather is here to dry out the ovals in the lead up to the 2nd week of finals. The BOM does say there is a 5% chance of rain on Saturday but I think we'll be fine. It should be a great day for playing and spectating our great game, lets hope the matches live up to the hype.

First of all, the eliminated side:

5th Piara Waters
The C3 life is over for the Falcons who next year will be up in B grade as part of their merger with Maddington. They couldn't repeat the round 18 win against MP and now find their season over. All is not lost for the orange and grey mob, they'll all be down supporting the ressies on Saturday.

1st Semi Finals @ Dianella Open Space

League - Dianella v Mosman Park
Rd 2 - Mosman 14.13-97 lost to Dianella 15.9-99
Rd 12 - Dianella 8.9-57 lost to Mosman 8.11-59

Both times these guys have played it's been tight with the scores going 1 game apiece. Mosman Park will be on a high after last weeks game and will benefit from a large supporter base at the ground thanks to the ressies also playing. They'll need to be on their game with the neutral umpires this time around and hit the score board early. The Raiders would be disappointed after losing a home final but now have the 2nd chance to use. They've been a top 2 side pretty much all year and I expect them to be able to regroup and show why. Dianella to win.

Reserves - Mosman Park v Cottesloe
Rd 4 - Cottesloe 9.7-61 defeated Mosman 7.7-49
Rd 13 - Mosman13.5-83 defeated Cottesloe 5.5-35

The Western suburbs derby, river v beach. Both sides usually play on small ovals so I don't see the larger oval favouring either of them. The Roosters would love to push for any kind of flag in their first C3 season but face a tough task here. Mosman Park played off in the ressies GF last year and have plenty of experience around this time of year as well as the added bonus of the league side still being in. Mosman Park to win.

2nd Semi Finals @ Soklich & Co Oval

League - Snesa v Ellenbrook
Rd 1 - Snesa 9.8-62 defeated Ellenbrook 5.8-38
Rd 10 - Ellenbrook 22.8-140 defeated 12.4-76

Promotion to C2 to the victors, home prelim for the losers. At one game each this promises to be a ripper, will Snesa's fresh legs be the key here or will the Eels continue the form they showed against the Raiders. This time last year the Snesa coach was in the middle of a finals campaign in Karratha where he snared a 2nd consectutive flag - will he be able to get his boys into the main dance for a crack at 3 in a row? Soklich & Co Oval is a fortress with the Saints not losing there all year - can the Eel's crack the wall? It's always hard tipping against the flag favourites but as always I will obviously pick Ellenbrook.

Reserves - Ellenbrook v Piara Waters
Rd 6 - Piara 2.5-17 lost to Ellenbrook 11.7-73
Rd 14 - Ellenbrook 12.6-78 defeated Piara 5.6-36

Piara had a good win over Mosman Park and will be bolstered by the likes of big Jenko and a couple of other league players that will slot into the side now that the league side has been eliminated. This is their chance to go straight into the GF and win the last flag as a stand-alone Piara team. Ellenbrook are fresh after the week off and will look to continue the good run they've had so far, Eels to win.

'Freekick' you are delusional...the only way the eels will beat snesa is if the saints don't show up.

Grade: C3
SNESA 14.6-90 defeated Ellenbrook 9.10-64
Dianella 11.10-76 defeated Mosman 10.6-66

Grade: C3R
Ellenbrook 7.7-49 lost to Piara 10.8-68
Mosman 5.10-40 lost to Cottesloe 8.5-53

At Soklich the PW ressies were too slick with the run and carry handball game.
I only saw the 1st quarter of the league game but SNESA started well into the breeze and led all day

Freekick I thought the eels would destroy snesa?
All good, we can all get things drastically wrong on occasion...Like the U.S.A with Trump....or Mosman Park with Dougie....or your mum with you...
Na just kiddin'
Gonna be a killer final whoever makes it! Goodluck to all!!

Managed to get down to watch the DM v MP game on the weekend. Was a interesting game that had the Teams dead level at half time and i couldn't pick who was the better team up till then. I guess when the MP coach approaches one of the DM players at half time it was always going to bring a bit more "Fire" in the 2nd half.. ( In the Coaches Defense the Number 3 for DM was more interested in Going in Late to the contests and going the man instead of the ball.. Was involved in some ordinary tackles and hits once the ball had been Sent forward.)

MP showed a little more fight after the main break getting a couple of goals clear. But to the DM boys credit they just never Gave in.. their big Ruckman no 10 i think was clearly best on for them as his link up play and ruck work thru the center of the ground was the difference in the end .. well in my opinion anyways. The late goal to seal the win came with about 3 mins to go i think and it Broke the back of MP who had worked hard for most of the 2nd half but tried to try play tempo football instead of the run and gun footy they had played for most of the game..

Enjoyed being able to watch my first game this year as an Unbiased onlooker. Hopefully the rest of the finals games are just as good of a contest as that was

Heard a few red cards to some DM players, can anyone confirm? Are they able to play this week?
