Crunch time of the year has arrived! Been a good year for some an average year for others!

League

Minor Premiers Gosnells went the year undefeated very impressive feat! Lets hope for their sack they dont pull a Thornlie and not make the big dance after such an impressive year!

Qualifying Final- Lynwood Ferndale vs Warnbro Swans
Lynwood Ferndale won both encounters over the Swans this year in a fairly convincing fashion which has earned them the right of a home final! Finals is a different beast all together though so anything could happen. In saying that ill go the safe option in Lynwood in a tight tussle!

Elimination Final- Bassendean vs Nollamara
Bassendean also won both their games over Nolla this year, but without the added goals and momentum shift with their umpire I'll be going with the boys from Nollamara by a few!

Reserves

Qualifying Final- Warnbro Swans vs Gosnells
With games at 1 each for the year and with the Gosnells league boys having a week off, I'll be going with Gosnells in hard fought game but with a comfortable win

Elimination Final Bassendean vs Canning Vale
Bassendean won both games against Canning Vale this year, but if my memory serves me correctly Canning Vale seem to perform well in the reserve finals when the league team is out of contention. Will be a close game, I'll go with Canning Vale by under a kick

Rest of the Teams

6th- Ocean Ridge
These boys will be a little upset I believe coming down a grade and missing out on finals, started the year slow and finished well. My tip for a big improvement next year!

7th- Canning Vale
Not sure what was happening down there this year, seemed to be really hot and cold. Not sure what to expect!

8th- Canning South Perth
Worrying signs with a forfeit in the reserves and really low numbers looking from the outside. Offseason recruiting might be needed or another tough year could be coming up.

9th- Swan Valley
May just avoid the dreaded relegation due to issues in the higher grades with teams folding, but same with Canning South Perth seemed low on numbers aswell. Seems a worry for alot of clubs not sure what is happening around the traps.

10th High Wycombe
Not much to say a winless year isnt good, will find it hard to recruit new players, tip them to have another tough year next season

hard to pick a winner here, I think Lynwood will get up, just. Wouldnt surprise me if it went the other way though.

Elimination Final- Bassendean vs Nollamara
Everyone talks about how bad the Basso umpire was (and yes i agree- shocking) but are we really not going to mention the Roo's own umpire? I know from personal experiences that their umpire is on the same level as Basso's and quickly gaining on the infamous Doug from Mossie Park. However, it is a pointless conversation as they will not be able to influence this game.
My tip & heart is with Basso in this game- hopefully they get up and get up in a big way!

Flag Tip- has to be Gosnells, long way in front all year.

If the Lynwood warnbra game score is correct then warnbra kicking 10 straight and no points is a fair good effort. Looked like nolla almost got the win over basso. Interested to hear if nolla went out swinging

I watched the Lynwood Warnbro game yesty.
Oval was in average condition, shit scoreboard placement but overall and ok quality game.
Lynwood had some good scoring chains when they rebounded off of half back. They used the ball pretty well considering the ground was like a duck pond.
Warnbro were obviously classier around the ground. Had a couple of handy players.
#14 i think down back for Warnbro took a few intercept marks and really set them up.
#7 and 10 dangerous for the swans.

Interested to hear if basso and nolla belted each other??
Both clubs are known not to back down from hard footy with basso generally showing the hardness within the rules of the game.

Lynwood face Basso this week. Lynwood with a bit of pressure on them
now. The double home finals will help ensure they can pay all their new players fees again in 2018. Lynwood should get over the line against basso

Gossie to beat Warnbro and gain promotion. Set themselves up for a perfect year!
