Well the home and away season is done and dusted and finals begin - a pity the weather hasn't got the memo.....

Qualifying Finals @ Dianella Open Space

League - Dianella v Ellenbrook
Rd 7 Ellenbrook 9.13-67 lost to Dianella 9.18-72
Rd 17 Dianella 13.9-87 defeated Ellenbrook 10.7-67

Another week, another Raiders home game. They have defeated the Eels both times they've played and will have their full host of FIFO's available now it's finals. The home crowd will no doubt be at their vocal best and will be expecting big things. Ellenbrook snuck back into the top 3 by a couple of % and now need to make the most of the opportunity. Eels to win.

Reserves - Piara v Mosman Park
Rd 9 Mosman 17.6-108 defeated Piara 10.10-70
Rd 18 Piara 8.4-52 lost to Mosman 8.7-55

The round 18 rematch, Piara need to do something different if they want a different result this time around. Mosman lost to Swan Valley in the GF last year and would want to go one better this time around. Mosman Park to win.

Elimination Finals @ Tom Perrott Reserve

League - Mosman Park v Piara
Rd 9 Mosman 22.11-143 defeated Piara 10.14-74
Rd 18 Piara 14.17-101 defeated Mosman 10.11-71

1 game each and this time will have neutral umpires. Mosman have been hard to beat at home but Piara will have some confidence they can repeat last weeks victory. Mosman Park to win.

Reserves - Brentwood v Cottesloe
Rd 5 Brentwood 11.8-74 defeated Cottesloe 5.5-35
Rd 15 Cottesloe 10.2-62 lost to Brentwood 13.8-86

Both clubs league sides are out so there should be a fair crowd down watching this one. Brentwood had the wood over the Roosters in the home and away season but the ground is a lot closer to Cottesloe's in size & location. Bulldogs to win.


And for the other sides:

6th - Cottesloe
7 wins, 10 losses, 1 draw, 97.82%
6 points out of 5th, they came up from C4 and managed to consolidate their spot after starting the year with a bang. They'll be aiming for the 5 next year.


7th - Coolbinia West Perth
7 wins, 11 losses, 97.80%
A disappointing year for the Falcons after coming down from C2. They showed they can mix it with some of the better teams but lacked the consistency to challenge for finals.

8th - Belmont Districts
6 wins, 12 losses, 91.00%
After a flag in C4, a few were tipping them as flag favourites this year. It wasn't to be but did show they can beat the best (Snesa) so have something to work with.

9th - Brentwood Booragoon
5 wins, 13 losses, 68.95%
Did enough to avoid relegation but the low % shows some of the losses were huge. Need a lot of improvement in the off season.

10th - Manning
4 wins, 14 losses, 80.16%
A very disappointing year for the Rippers, it will be interesting to see whether they stay in C3 once all the changes are made in the off season.

Let me start of by saying thanks to whitey for the write ups this year, you done a great job.

Finally the season is done and what a close one it was. Finals now and its time to see what teams will prevail.Con grats to SNESA league and ELLENBROOK ressies on being minor prems, enjoy the week off.

Going to tip Dianella to get over the top of the eels but its going to be a hard fought game and i suspect a few snesa player there to watch.
Dinaella by 3 goals

ELIMANATION
Well what a game last week was between these two sides. When it wasn't influenced by he who must not be named, it was a good game with both sides playing some great footy. But with the neutral umps in finals mossys wont stand a chance against us.
Piara by 6goals

seems there's an issue with the Piara win....
Mosman park listed as playing next week...Piara possibly played an unqualified player?

Gee interesting results in the league. Dianella were touted as guaranteed premiers not too long ago, now fighting to stay alive, played Ellenbrook last week and really felt we should have beat them obviously the wake up call they needed. Mosman Park reversing the result from last week in a big way, caught the first 1/4 of that match and they were 5 goals up in a flash.

Disappointing day for the Dogs reserves, thought we could have gone deep into finals this year, a 1 point loss in a final always stings for a while. First final our 2s have played in years though so good signs with plenty of colts coming through next year as well.
