Wow what a week it has been for not only MrM but for you other general folk as well. It’s not often MrM has his inbox flooded with suggestions,
“Hey, MrM talk about this!”
“Can’t wait for this week MrM, you better deliver”.
Firstly, MrM marches to the beat of his own drum and will not be subject to demands of others, secondly, MrM is like Australia Post, he delivers once every two days.

This weekend does promise to be a big one though with 2 out of the 4 games exciting, and MrM can’t wait to see if Stirling can pile on 46 goals to 0 and avoid relegation, but chances are slimmer than MrM’s of finding a MrsM at the bar tonight. Sorry Stirling, I cannot see it happening, but it has been fun to have you along for the ride regardless.

Let us have a look at this weekend’s games because MrM is quite excited.

Kingsway v Swan Athletic @Kingsway Reserve MOTR

This game places a huge bearing on ladder positions, so it’s clearly the Match Of The Round.

Kingsway will be riding that high wave of momentum as they look to finish the season off as Minor Premiers, which means home field advantage all finals. They have been in good form as of late which is the reason they sit atop the ladder, they do come up against a Swan Ath side that will be looking to win though as they can fall outside the top 3. Swan Ath has slipped up in recent weeks leaving the door ajar for a side to take the double chance from them. They should feel like they a real good chance against Kingsway here, but I think the Roos at home will be far too strong.
Kingsway by 3 goals

Mt Lawley v Collegians @Hamer Park1

Mt Lawley kept their home final aspirations alive this past weekend with a win over fellow contender Swan Ath. If they want to try and get a home final, all they need to do is win against a Collegians side that will be looking to finish the season off with a win. Collegians have faltered this season, due to low player numbers, but I am sure a club like Collegians will rebound in 2018. I can see the “Brothers of Destruction” causing some havoc this weekend. Forget McGregor v Mayweather, MrM wants “Doyle v Mckinlay”.
Mt Lawley by 7 goals

Maddington v Kelmscott @Harmony Fields

MrM’s comments, It will be the last we will ever see of both these clubs in B Grade...which we already know really.

Stirling v Hamersley Carine @Richard Guefli Reserve

MrM will call this game the merger cup.
Stirling need a ridiculous win to stay alive, but this season have been very disappointing for the Saints. Hamersley Carine have also had a disappointing season. MrM’s prediction, both these clubs to merge, play @Carine Open Space in the new facilities and call themselves the City of Stirling Hawks.
Hamersley by 4 goals

Wanneroo v North Fremantle @Wanneroo Showgrounds

Well in the biggest game of the season thus far for both clubs we will see this game played under lights at the Showgrounds in-front of a large parochial crowd. Wanneroo need a win to either have a chance to finish 3rd (something they will know by the time the game starts) or to get a home final the week after. They do face a North Fremantle side that has slipped up in recent weeks so I am sure they will be come out fired up (unless Kingsway win then they are playing for nothing). I can see it being a real tough slog at Wanneroo, especially given this rain recently. Should be a good game for all to see, with Wanneroo to cause the “upset” and get a win here.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

Good luck to all this weekend. MrM will be bunkered down working hard, so keep him updated all.

Thanks for your efforts again MrM, always enjoyable reading your stuff.

Quite an unusual season is coming to a close, never seen so many forfeits in a Drew Banfield colts season, and what happened with Kelmscott was embarrassing,
The WAAFL surely can’t be happy with how things have played out.

As for this weeks games:
Collegians are the inform team of the comp for mine and have started to put their best teams on the park. So Collegians will do MrM’s (and Frank the Tanks) Roo’s a favour and win this week. Probably would have won it from 5th spot if they made it, but alas, its Silly Sunday to look forward to.

My tip for the premiership…….. KINGSWAY
You can’t be paying as many people as they are and not win the flag.

And my final tip for the “Doyle vs McKinlay” fight:
My heart says Doyle, but my head says McKinlay

Ahhh here we are, one of my favourite days of the week, Thursday. This week doesnt need its own hype up as its just that big, i don't even know where to start. Hi my good old friend colonel klink, good to hear from you as it has been awhile. There is a saying in life and here it goes. You know what they say about assumptions? It's the mother of all fuck ups. Don't assume my friend.

I agree with Mr.M on match of the round but i do think that 2nd v 4th is also equal to it so in my opinion there will be 2 MOTR. Just my opinion.

My end of season ladder prediction

1. Kingsway
2. Nth freo
3. Wanneroo
4. Swan ath
5. Mt Lawley

With the weather be as appalling as it has been and more to come Saturday its fair most grounds are in dreadful condition which is both unfortunate for this round and the finals to come. Lets hope by Saturday the 19th the sun is out and the top 5 can showcase there best footy. Good luck to all 8 teams this week and the forum is buzzing tomorrow and next week.

Well, one thing for sure and that is the overload of refreshing the WAAFL B Grade results page on Saturday night. Every team inside the 5 know what is at stake and it is shaping up a very exciting finals series with Kingsway's first real crack at promotion into A Grade.
Let's hope the deck at Kingsway can withhold some decency given the home games heading their way.

Kingsway over Ath by 3 goals
Mt Lawley will beat Old Scotch by 10 goals
Stirling to upset Hamersley by a goal
North to stomp over Wanneroo by 5 goals

Good luck to all sides and pack some spare socks

Kingsway can't afford to keep their oval maintained as they have no $$$ leftover after paying all their players hey Colonel Klink

With 20mm of rain being forecast, it'll be interesting to see how the Kingsway deck holds up after 5 games (3 B Grade & 2 D Grade) being played on it on Saturday...
They'll want to get top spot so it can have a couple of weeks to recover...

Wow what a weekend of footy with the ladder finalised and Kingsway minor premiers.
North Freo v Wanneroo will be another good hit out after beating each other up this week and the Roos getting the choccies
Swan Ath v Mt Lawley will also be a huge game with both sides finishing on the same points and only % determining a home final

The B Reserves looks to be just as close with any team in the finals able to take it all the way.
What an exciting 4 weeks to look forward to

The round lived up to the hype and the weather gods let us get in some good footy, despite the predictions.
Kingsway continued on their merry way by smashing Swan Ath and locking in the week off. Well deserved after a very consistent year.
Swan Ath will be disappointed to have finished 4th but will take confidence into the finals knowing their best is good enough.
Mt Lawley did what they had to against a Colligians side, who will no doubt be better next year. They hit the finals in top gear and will have all the confidence in the world.
Wanneroo are up and about after a ripping finish to the year, the tight loss to Kingsway their only blip on the run home.
North Freo will look to bounce back after a few disappointing games.

We have a cracking finals series to come with each team good enough to win on their day. Question is who's day will it be?

And there we have it folks, the B grade regular season has come to an end. All I can say is congratulations to the to 5 teams and as for the bottom5, well you just need to get better. With all the hype over the 2 headline games this weekend they certainly delivered in more ways then one. The next 4 weeks are sure to be a doozy as we look forward to whats ahead.

Hamersley dicking Stirling. Hamersley still have there ressies in the mix so will be very interesting to see how many blokes drop down from. Disappointing season for them especially coming from A grade. Stirling, well they are a basket case with no depth, no real colts and they should be looking to rebuild from either C1 or possibly C2 to gain some players back.

Mt Lawley continuing recent form with a convincing win over Collegians. Depending on how you look at it, disappointing this game didn't mean more as collegians were out of the running but Mt Lawley could be a real dark horse. I think they will be tired but Ive been wrong before. Collegians will hope they get some country boys back as well as the players that went traveling next season. Surely they must be looking at push for A grade soon? Were a strong A grade club a few years back.

Kingsway running over Swan early. I did venture down to this game and from the get go, Swan didn't look in it. At one stage it was 8 goals to 1 and thats all there is to say. Swan did eventually make a push and earn some respect back thru the pressure they did apply in the 3rd keeping Kingsway scoreless, but the difference was just too much. 2 bad weeks for the wine boys and they will be hoping to turn this around come next Saturday or its season over. Kingsway proven themselves as legit contenders but will be interesting to see if the week off is beneficial or not come 2 weeks time.

Wanneroo survive a last push from the maggies. As this was also close to the kingsway game i did watch 2 and a bit quarters of this as well. Early on North freo looked quick and there ball use was on show as wanner had the breeze but didn't exactly use it. The 2nd quarter was exactly the opposite with the roos transitioning the ball and running all over the maggies. Up by 30 odd points during the 3rd was when i left but the game looked dead and buried. By the looks i should have hung around as it ended tight. If wanneroo had taken there opportunities this game was probably over but nonetheless a win is a win. Maggie's with 2 losses in a row lose that top spot and have a lot of improving to do.

Would love to hear some game reports. Frank out
