Afternoon all. With the assumption that kelmscott will not field a C1 side next season is it now going to be 2 up 1 down from b grade down. This is a huge detail as some clubs are fighting to stay in the grade they are in. With working it out b grade would loose kelmscott and most likely Stirling and gian the 2 grand finalists. That would leave 9teams in C1 so going down the grades it'd be 2 up 1 down to C4.

Don't forget that Maddington is also gone as they are merging with Piara Waters.

from memory the notices that where sent to both clubs said the clubs top side would be put in wherever Maddington finishes up and a 3rds & 4ths would be entered into one of the D grades. so effectively the Piara bulls 1's 2's and colts go into B grade (if Maddo stay in the grade)

That's correct re Maddington so piara/ Maddington will be in B grade and D2. So 1 less in C3 mean maybe 2 up from C4 leaving them an 8 team comp unless another side comes from E grade.

I can't seriously see Piara/Maddington fielding 4 adult teams next year - 3 is more likely

With all due respect to the players, they would get absolutely KILLED in D1 or D2.

I hope they can put a Colts team together, but give the lack of numbers in the vicinity of Piara Waters, and that it appears that Maddington Juniors have folded, I doubt it will happen, although, dependent upon what happens at Kelmscott next year, there may be enough players available from Kelmscott Juniors to fill a Colts team - lots of seriously good players there from what appears to be a really well run junior programme.

I've played both D2 and C3 and wouldn't say D2 is a tougher comp than C3. But with the inevitable fact some players will not like the merger I'd say some will leave and you may be right they only field 3 sides. Time will tell good luck to them as I think as time goes there will be more sides that'll look in on it and follow suit.
