Big round of footy, although the top 5 is pretty much wrapped up. There is plenty left to play for
Wanneroo Vs Mt Lawley @Showies MOTR
Clear match of the round, wanneroo & mt lawley arguably two of the most inform in the comp. Mt Lawley last week were sublime and are going to upset the roos on their home track. Mt Lawley by 1 Goal.

Collegians Vs Kelmscott @Dalkeith
Not alot i have to say about this clash but the blues will keep their very slim finals hopes alive.
Collegians by 7 Goals.

Swan Ath Vs Stirling @Fawell
Swan Ath cant afford to lose, whilst the same can be said for the saints but they wont find their 4 points here.
Swan Ath by 8 Goals

Nth Freo Vs Maddington @Gil Fraser
The maggies deserve to be top, and are. Whilst the maddo boys have had a real hard couple of weeks after showing some promise mid season. The maggies will run riot
Nth Freo by 15 goals.

Hamersley Vs Kingsway @Percy Doyle
Kingsway recieved a really bad reality check last week, and have to find their form again. Whilst the Hamersley boys only managed one goal last week against a mediocre Collegians. Kingsway will return to form. The Roos by 7 goals.

Firstly let MrM send his heartfelt condolences to the Collegians family as they lost a teammate and brother this past week, thoughts are with you gents in this time.
Thanks for starting boothead, you seem like a good gent and/or female (rude of MrM to gender specify), kudos to you.

It’s going to be another Round of some good fixtures, with plenty still left to play for with even the relegation battle heating up. MrM is looking forward to these remaining few rounds even though MrM may be jetting back to the great land of Georgetown in a few weeks, this time spent at home has let MrM rekindle his love for one thing...hot chips at football. Hot chips at a football match are what draw the crowd to attend; it’s not surprising to see more and more clubs getting on the hot chip bandwagon as they say, it’s as cheap as chips.

In other news it has been disappointing to see that despite MrM best efforts, he could not get anyone to comment on last weekend’s games, how dare MrM get 5/5 in the tipping, it’s just wrong. Come on all lets lift in the game reviews.

As for game previews I shall start now.

Wanneroo v Mt Lawley @Wanneroo Showgrounds MOTR

As boothead pointed out, definitely is this weekend’s Match Of The Round.

Wanneroo have managed to string together a few wins and are looking good in the back half of the season. The real test starts now though as they face 3 tough competitors in the next month of football. Mt Lawley are also a team on the march and with the “Brothers of Destruction” in action, anything can happen. It will be a tough slog at the showgrounds which will see a tightly contested game. I will be different here, in front of a vocal, parochial crowd, Wanneroo to win.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

Collegians v Kelmscott @Dalkeith Oval

In a tough week for Collegians they get a good chance to play football here and get themselves a win as they can keep their slim finals hopes alive. Kelmscott, what happened to the side MrM saw play a few weeks ago, your last two efforts have been disappointing to say the least. I do not expect that to change here this weekend as Collegians will run rampant.
Collegians by 8 goals

Swan Athletic v Stirling @Fawell Park

Swan Ath seemed very impressive last weekend as they steamrolled a hapless Kelmscott side. They will hoping to do so again this weekend as they face a side battling to avoid relegation. Stirling are struggling as they face the prospect of relegation, no colts, Reserves and League getting thumped does not bode well, but can they do enough to avoid relegation, they need wins, but it won’t be this weekend. SwanAth to kick some Ath...
Swan Athletic by 10 goals

North Fremantle v Maddington @Gil Fraser Oval

North Fremantle are flying and have a small mortgage on top spot on the ladder at the moment. If they keep winning like they have been then I expect them to remain like that till the season’s end, they face another side looking to avoid relegation this weekend. Maddington were good last weekend for a quarter but will need a lot better than that if they are to defeat North Fremantle, something I cannot see happening.
North Fremantle by 10 goals

Hamersley Carine v Kingsway @Percy Doyle Reserve

Hamersley kissed their finals chances goodbye last weekend with a sub-par effort against Collegians. If results go against them, they could also be in danger of being relegated so they will need a good showing against a Kingsway side out for revenge last weekend. Kingsway would be kicking them after last weekend’s result and it could cost them. This is a real danger game for Kingsway here as they need a win or risk slipping down the ladder. I think they can get it done.
Kingsway by 4 goals

Good luck all, MrM will be out and about this weekend, who will see the great man, who knows.

hopefully for your sake Mr M, the brothers are reformed this week. On hot chips, the best servings all year have come from Mount Lawley & Kelmscott. Good work ladies.

Well a big week in B Grade footy once again, as some sides proved themselves, whilst others left a big question mark.

Wanneroo Vs Mt Lawley, the roos have their biggest win for the year against an inform mt lawley. This is huge for wanneroos top 3 chances.

Collegians Vs Kelmy, forfeit. Keeps collegians with a good finals chance. The last round may decide 5th spot.

Nth Freo Vs Maddo, the maggies were too strong but maddington stay with them all day.

Kingsway Vs Hamersley, kingsway returned to winning ways belting a hapless Hamersley. Kingsway will finish 2nd in my opinion.

Swan Ath Vs Stirling, swan ath did what they had to do, and what they have done is stay in the top 3 whilst youd have to say the saints survival chances are pretty much done.

Very keen for a couple of big games this week, with Kingsway vs wanneroo @Kingsway and Mt lawley vs nth freo @hamer. These two games have massive ramifications on finals spots.

Righto righto, Frank the Tank is back again with plenty to talk about. I know you have all been wondering where Frank has been and why he hasn't been providing such banter as he always does, the reason for this is because Frank has been undercover finding out some very interesting information.

Boothead in my opinion, wanneroo's best win was agaisnt thr ath boys 6 rounds ago at Fawell. This is just my opinion but you are correct a very important win to keep there top 3 chances alive. As for the other matches played they were all irrelvant as they had not affect on the 5.

Now for my very interesting information and yes it has to do with kelmscott. I have heard that a certain player was offered a 3k sign on fee with 1k a game to play. Now that is a lot of money. Its just really unfortunate the lengths they go to get players. What happened to just playing with mates. If i was on the board of the waafl i would personally change every result for the games against kelmscott and make them 90 to 1. With there changes in form throughout the season, it has definitely affected percentages and has brought the B grade comp into disrepute. It would be interesting to see percentages after this and could possibly change ladder positions come round 18. I believe this makes everything fair and every club is on the same page in terms of percentages.

Frank will return with his opinions for games later this week. Peace out brothers

Well said Tank but it is highly unlikely that the WAAFL board would amend the scores as they don't like to "rock the boat" when it comes to this type of thing.

The dissapointing thing is that unless Stirling can beat Collegians this weekend by a fair margin (Assuming Swan Ath will take care of Maddington), then the relegation of Stirling will be confirmed as both Stirling and Maddington were due to play Kelmscott in the last 2 rounds. Not a real nice way to finish the year especially when the WAAFL could have and should have acted a lot earlier in doing something regarding Kelmscott considering the numerous breaches of the by-laws (Red Cards, playing unregistered players on Multiple occasions including a player banned for life!) and then we wouldn't be faced with this situation. It sounds like the boards whole take on it was if we just keep ignoring what is happening (Kelmscott), it will slowly go away!!

1k a game?? Where does that come from?

Something should of been done a lot earlier.... But 90-1 is the only fair way to adjust the ladder to fair. After all, the Waafl had no problems adjusting the reserves ladder at the end of last year when some withheld information was spilled from earlier games in the season.
