Boy oh boy! Wowee! Round 13 sure gave us some interesting results. Has Lynwood finally ran out of steam, or are teams simply figuring out how to break their zone? Is Nollamara priming themselves to be a smokey come finals time? Will Bassendean catch one of the top 3 to claim the second chance? All questions to be answered in the coming weeks.

Canning Vale vs Ocean Ridge
Losing last week has definitely put the Cougars in a compromised position. In the run home they only have one game against a side below them, with percentage the only difference between them and the relegation zone. The ridge on the other hand are coming off a big win and now have a battle on their hands to keep their spot in the finals. I think they will take this one by a couple of kicks, a few more if they want to prove themselves as genuine contenders.

Nollamara vs Canning
Last week the roos did the long trip down south to Warnbro and left with the W. It definitely sends a message that at their best they can compete with the top teams in the comp. However with their inconsistency you wouldn't be surprised if they went down this week. Although if you have almost 50 guys go through your league team at some stage during the year, the lack of consistency is not really a surprise. I'll back the roos in this week but it really depends which team they roll out with.

Lynwood vs Swan Valley
Dropping two in a row has put Lynwood in a peculiar position, lose this one and their game against Warnbro becomes even more important. Drop these next 2 and they could essentially find themselves in an elimination final in the first week if Bassendean keeps up current form. They do seem to have a few key players missing, and I would imagine they would be very keen for their return. Lynwood should take this one comfortably, but if they don't get some artillery back they could struggle.

Bassendean vs Warnbro MOTR
This game definitely has the ability to shape the way the finals pan out, and coming off a loss I would imagine Warnbro would be desperate to take this one. If they lose they are in similar position to Lynwood, however with a tougher road home that includes the undefeated hawks. I called for Bassendean to take a scalp if they wanted to be counted a couple of weeks back and they did just that. Take down Warnbro, and they cement their names in the mix come finals time. Warnbro should still win by a goal or two however.

High Wycombe vs Gosnells
Don't really have a lot to say here. I would imagine the hawks will rest a few with niggles and still win by a lot. Last time they played the score was a disgrace, lets hope the dogs can keep it somewhat respectable this time.

Good luck to all teams

A pretty interesting past 3 weeks in this comp. it has been a fairly open comp barring the top 3 all year and we are now starting to see some sides slide and others pick up.
Gosnells have not been touched all year.
Ridge starting to find some form
Lynwood and Warnbro starting to be found out by a couple of teams!
Basso and nolla still so inconsistent.

This week.

Ridge to beat Canjingvale by 10goals. Ridge starting to get some plaers back from ijnury and will be key contenders if they can make the 5. Their grand canyon of an oval is a big advantage.

Nolla to beat Canning by 5 goals to keep some pressure on ride. Their match against each other in a couple of weeks will be interesting. With Headland in the side Nolla seem to be finding another leg!!
Lynwood to beat Valley. Valley been hurt by injries to key players. Have noticed dodd didnt play on weekend either, could be the reasonthey were belted!
Warnbro to beat Basso. Warnbro have a couple handy forwards where as basso dont really have an imposing figure in their forward half.
Gossie to belt Wycombe. Woods too good of a player to be playing at this level! Surely he has the association wrapped up! I bet gosnells are glad they could per$uade him not to leave to Kelmscott at the start of the year!

Awesome write up Seahawk! Been a quiet forum this year.

The top 3 race has certainly opened up with Nolla taking it over Warnbro and Lynwoods big loss to the boys from Gossie!

Onto this week

Ocean Ridge vs Canning Vale
Hard to go past Ridge been playing some good football the last month, Canningvale flirting with the relegation zone so will be closer then some think I believe. Ridge by 4 goals.

Nollamara vs Canning
Said it last week and it proved to be true, their best can beat anyone and ill tip the boys from Nolla by 12 goals.

Lynwood vs Swan Valley
Lynwood much like Warnbro have been down, down to injuries/holidays or teams catching up? Even still will be an easy win for the panthers. Lynwood 10 goals.

Bassendean vs Warnbro
Basso look to have found some impressive form, and Warnbro down from early year form. On this alone ill go with Basso by 4-5 goals. I feel as if Warnbro is missing a decent amount of player going off their reserves drop in form too.

High Wycombe vs Gosnells
Massive belting coming the way of the dogs. 20 plus goals. Strange to see not many of the young colts are double up helping out the senior sides? Couple massive lads strolling around in the colts. Under 21s is a bit of a joke.
