I always sleep well.

All umpires need to be in a pool of some sorts then allocated games NOT involving their direct club. Logistically difficult yes but not impossible. The standard of umpiring in terms of them being lenient to their club is atrocious this year...worst I've seen in years. Only a matter of time til something erupts because of it. Ps not involved in either of the club's mentioned above. Not even in the same grade.

The mossie umpire has always been a straight out cheat. It's speaks volumes of a club who keeps endorsing him to umpire their games, and say nothing. And he really is costing another club a finals shot by getting his team underserved wins in the year.

2 things

1) there is an improve or remove in place for umpires. Get your president to file the appropriate paperwork by 12pm tomorrow. We were lucky to have ol Dougie whilst he was being watched one year. He was on point. Next game no observer he went back to his usual ways.

2) you have the second worst umpire in the league doing your thirds. He's not much better than Dougie. You really can't complain when you have clubs complaining about your ump.

Some interesting results with the bottom 2 sides getting up, Cottesloe having more scoring shots but Dianella getting the points & SNESA doing enough with a depleted side to keep their top 3 aspirations alive.

Before you ask, I wasn't at our game so can't comment on the umpiring. From previous experience I'm glad we won't see him again this year & after hearing some of the boys talking last night I'm bemused to say the least. How can one umpire try to red card the other? And try to reverse the result of the reserves game? I know of at least 1 other club that have called the WAAFL in regards to this umpire.
Anyway, enough of that, only 7 rounds to go and things are starting to take shape - CWP find themselves deep in relegation territory while at the other end the 5 is starting to take shape.

I agree about the thirds umpire. He shocking. But he isn't a biased cheating shocking.

It will be an unlucky side or two depending on the merger that gets relegated this year. A team could conceivably win 5 or 6 games and go down particularly if two are relegated.

Interesting point RM, Would it only be 1 to go down to C4 if Piara moved up as a result of the merger? I guess to have 3 go up only 1 could go down to keep it at 10 for next year? Or if Piara make the GF as 1 of the 2 to go up how does that impact? Interesting circumstances considering the evenness of the competition this year a team could be very lucky or unlucky.

How Mosman Park still have him as their umpire baffles me. Surely you know he blatantly cheats! Wake up mossie park and get rid of him!
