We are nearly at the halfway mark and work isn’t watching me quite so closely so I can do a bit of a report this week.

Down at Mills Park the day started with a cracking Colts game. Both teams deserved the win and Carlisle ended up getting it with a late goal. Our lads had a chance to ice the game but went into prevent mode a little too early. Winning is a learned skill they say so our boys will come out of this better and hopefully the results will come soon.
I can’t comment too much on the twos as I was in with the Colts after the game then getting ready for my own game but I think the score says enough.
The league game was a fairly tight affair all day with long patches of back and forth football with no score. Carlisle had a shot from a stoppage on the final siren that luckily for us hit the woodwork. Having 6 less scoring shots and taking the win by 4 points says that we got away with this one. Carlisle finished strong but just couldn't put the ball through the big sticks kicking 2 points in the last few minutes one touched on the line and one into the post
