Just read the article Andro. Fantastic stuff.

Reminded me of my Junior playing days 30 - 40 years ago playing alongside my indiginous team mates. A couple of who have become life long friends. Brought back some painful memories though of all the times I witnessed first hand the racial abuse those boys copped on a weekly basis from both opposition players and their supporters. I never could understand the hatred those boys copped for no other reason than their skin colour being a different shade. To me they were just my team mates, and mates.

You think after all that time our society might have grown up a bit but no such luck. The hatred still persists.

My lifelong friendships with these mates has been rewarding in more ways than I can mention here.

I reckon it's the least the WAAFL can do to have an Indigenous Round once a year. At the very least it will help make our brothers feel more accepted in the footballing community here in WA.

You really are a massive dropkick. Why would a club turn away anyone wanting to play footy, aboriginal or otherwise? Where did I say anything like that? Where're did I say black fellas and white fellas can't be mates? You are off on your own little self-important rant, you flogger.
And ceiling fan, do you think aboriginal fellas don't feel accepted in footbal? If that's what you think, fine. You're wrong though. But why not push for a round for Asians then, make them feel more accepted. Or Croats, make them feel accepted. Or Caucasians, some of them might not feel accepted either. Why pick aboriginals?
