They say "Time flies when you're having fun". Well it has and MrM certainly is and he isn't even in the country where the fun is being had. Although you'll all be pleased to know that MrM may be home for spring break. If someone could raise MrM the $2400 needed to come home he will do so.

It's already Round 7 which means the bodies are starting to wear a bit and MrM is running out of things to talk about. If somebody could please let me know if there are any interesting topics to start talking about MrM shall. MrM likes facts, not rumours and innuendo like most do. MrM does have a fact though and if Millsy and Baz would accept my collect call on the rumour file I would be able to say rumour is fact. MrM has eyes and ears everywhere, so it's no surprise news got back to him. The big inclusion Wanneroo have been waiting for graced the track this past week and is looming for a potential debut this weekend. Look out other B Grade Clubs because the competition is about to get a huge shake up.

Alright ladies and gents, as Bruce Buffer would say "IT'S TIME!"

Collegians v Stirling @Dalleith Oval

A big game for both clubs here as Collegians will be looking to get some momentum to kick-start there 2017 as so far they have failed to have any real impact. They are sitting even on the ledger though, so a win here would propel them. Stirling needs a win as they sit in the relegation zone and face a tough task to climb out. Collegians should get the win here and add to Stirling's pain. Ps what's the deal with Stirling Colts? Two forfeits in a row?
Collegians by 4 goals

Swan Athletic v Maddington @Fawell Park

Swan Ath had a crushing win last weekend as are setting themselves up ready for a finals tilt. A good win this weekend is what they need to keep the season rolling along nicely. Maddington haven't been able to put as many wins up as they would have liked so far and will be fighting it out to avoid relegation. Talk of a merger is probably the only exciting thing they can look forward to especially with no colts. Swan Ath to do a number here.
Swan Athletic by 8 goals

North Fremantle v Mt Lawley @Gil Fraser Oval

A game close to being MOTR promises to be a good tough battle. North Freo are threatening to run away with it this season, a healthy percentage and losing just the one game has shown they are the early front runners. They will know that premierships aren't won in May though so plenty of tough work ahead. Mt Lawley had a hard fought win last weekend and will be looking to keeping that up this week. If they can get the "Brothers of Destruction" firing then it will go a long way to assisting in a win. I think North Freo will be too strong here though.
North Fremantle by 4 goals

Hamersley Carine v Kelmscott @Percy Doyle

Hamersley go invest in mouth-guards as you may need them. But they should be able to get a vital win. Although Kelmscott Reserves did win last weekend so look out they may be coming. Kelmscott less time spent writing on them the better...That is all I need to say.
Hamersley Carine by 10 goals

Wanneroo v Kingsway @Wanneroo Showgrounds MOTR

MrM likes to refer to this clash as The Real Roos v The Teal Roos but either way despite what some may think this is this week’s Match Of The Round.

Wanneroo were left ruing missed chances last week as they failed to overcome a strong Mt Lawley side in the wet. If they are too turn things around this weekend they will need to play a good 100 minutes of football against a Kingsway side that will be ready to play as they look to show they are contenders this season. Kingsway are a side that is looking to put its stamp on the competition and a win away from home this weekend would go a long way to ensuring that. The match will be won or lost in the midfield which is where both sides are quite even. It will be a good contest no doubt with Wanneroo being boosted by up to 25 WP Players across every grade this weekend not to mention the big inclusion which will see them get the win here.
Wanneroo by 2 goals.

Good luck all. MrM has an essay to write, so wish him luck.

I wouldnt be too confident about that Mr Mysterious. At least 11 of the Reserves team backed up to play League as well last Saturday.

I did not realise that SwansFan4Life . Good on them.
Not a great sign for longevity of the club though, be interesting to see if that maintains for the rest of the season.

Obviously this was done to limit another forfeit for the reserves, with 'league' players having to kit up for both grades. This is a farce. If the colts are gone and these kind of desperate measures to field a reserves it's time for the WAAFL to step in and pull the club out of the rest of the season (or post round 9 as someone has suggested)
Back to E grade with 1 side for 2018 and be made to build your way back with some kind of integrity should be the way here.

And while im at it, id like to make mention that the "teal roos" who were formed in 1926, at the wanneroo showgrounds who moved to kingsway reserve in 1977 for the best facilities in the league. Then all of a sudden another wanneroo side appeared in 1985 stealing wanneroo sunday leagues intentity, colours, emblem and jumper.

I'd be curious to know the 25 subi players Kingsway are getting? I'd be assuming it'd be more like 4 or 5 colts...
