No surprise here, the Cougars have been very competitive in their losses as reflected in their percentage. Unfortunately the Bulldogs cannot say the same and are copping some beatings.
Nollamara 9.8-62 def Ocean Ridge 7.8-50
A good result for the Roos to stay in touch with the top five. Ridge have stumbled after a good start. They have another tough one coming up this week in Bassendean who will be tough to beat.
Lynwood Ferndale 12.15-87 def Warnbro Swans 4.6-30
I expected this to be a much closer contest but the Cougars are proving to be a quality outfit.
Bassendean 14.17-101 def Canning South Perth 6.6-42
The Swans had a comfortable win and have put a game and a fair chunk of percentage between themselves and the chasing pack.

A very undermanned Valley took it right up to the ladder leaders in a good game of footy. Valley lead until well into the third quarter and were still only three goals down at the last change. The Hawks class showed in the last stanza and they went on to win comfortably. Valley make the long trek to Warnbro with their season hanging in the balance and the Hawks have a local derby with a resurgent Cougars in what should be cracking game.
A third of the way through the season now and we're slowly getting a real feel of where all the clubs sit. I still think it's a pretty tight tussle for spots in the finals.
