The predicted result here, hopefully the Bulldogs can keep their sides on the park all year and rebuild. They certainly have some good kids in the Colts.

Ocean Ridge 5.6-36 def by Canning Vale 18.6-114

Whilst the result might not be a huge surprise the margin certainly was! Be interested to know if Rigde had a few out?

Swan Valley 10.6-66 def by Lynwood Ferndale 18.15-123

Another loss for the Valley, beaten by a very well organised Cougars outfit. The margin didn't really reflect the match as it was six coals at quarter time. Valley were much more competitive after that. Very pleasing to see the Lynwood boys stay back in numbers, good stuff lads.

Warnbro Swans 10.7-67 def Bassendean 8.15-63

The close game I expected, must of been a thrilling finish! No doubt Basso will be ruing their poor goal kicking.

Canning South Perth 13.7-85 def Nollamara 9.16-70

This one went as expected, the scores suggest a pretty even contest. It seems apart from the Hawks at the top and High Wycombe at the bottom perhaps there is not much in the comp this year.

Apparently ridge lost there captain early in the game and lost there chf last week

The two's are a great unit up at Ridge that is for sure.
I would think a few of them could have slotted straight into the top side.
Hard running and big units.
Cant see why the selection committee would not have put a few more of them in the ones?
Not having a crack we all know that clubs have their own reasons and intricacies.
Anyone from the club got any feedback?

On another note most footy ovals would almost fit length ways across Heathridge Park its bloody HUGE! (used the google map measure system and it is basically bang on a full size ground)

Advice for future fixtures take two boundary umps, two runners, 4 water carriers and a camel?

Well thought I'd go to Gosnells to see if the supposed "thugs" of High Wycombe were again on show. What I did see before the game was the coach Running around trying to field a team and pulling the boots on himself. I later learned the president also played. They had 3 colts play as it was a bye for them and 3 players double up. The game was always going to be 1 sided but in the 1st 1/4 Wycombe managed to be in the game kicking 3 goals to 4 in the 1/4 after that they were never in it. Even though they were out on their feet there was no sign of the niggle from last week. After the game and speaking to a few players they had 10 out for injury from the ressies alone. It doesn't mean they'd be a lot better but I'd say a bench would help in the least.
On to the league game. That was over at 1/4 time. With the ressies missing some I'd say the league would be too. But on display was a very very good gossie side that looks almost certain at this stage to be in c1 at the very least next year. Not much to say about the game was good to see it played in good spirit even if it was all over 20 minutes in

Disco night and Dingo as regards to Ridge we have had a lot of injuries this year not an excuse but when you have 16 guys missing from Ressies side it definitely takes its toll. Which means a lot of guys have pushed up into league. We have a few long term injuries to a few key players but again it is 22 v 22 out there and no excuses!!
As to our ground It is massive isn't it! Slightly wider this year compared to previous years a lot of room out there..

Ridgy, if you have 16 blokes out through injury thats a good enough excuse for any team. I think you are entitled to use it as an excuse.
How long are we talking with injuries? whole season or a few weeks and should have majority of blokes up and ready for selection?

That's a big injury list for sure.
I just thought from what I saw in the twos a few of them would go OK in the ones.

I'll weigh in on the Ridge situation , we have definitely been hit with a hefty injury list but we won't be making excuses ! We have a few key players out that should be back later in the season say round 12-14 but in saying that we havnt been playing to a standard good enough to win games that we should be winning , its only round five still a lot of footy to be played , take no credit away from canningvale they were a well coached well drilled side who wanted it more they will go well this season
