Noticed some pretty big wins from some teams.
Bullcreek with and impressive victory over Kingsley and Willetton over Noranda by a big margin.
Good to see the teams up from C2 starting off with Wins.
I was at the Melville v Kenwick game and was extremely impressed with young Brad Boulton from Melville. Melville didn't look fantastic and Collard has evidently been a massive loss for the Rams.
What did anyone else see??

Unfortunately due to an badly timed wedding by one of the league boys down at Melville we were missing about 10 of our core league blokes this week. We'll be back to full force after the bye.

Was just about to make a topic for the results, score wise this seems to be a fairly balanced comp through the league and reserves though it’s too early to really tell.

Down at Mills Park the Melville colts ran out convincing winners their ball movement and spread was a step above our young fellas and it showed on the scoreboard. Our twos started off with a bang kicking the first 6, from there it was a much closer contest but that first surge really hurt Melville. The ones started the opposite with Melville getting a lead in the first Kenwick surged in the second to be about even at the big break, from there it was a tussle with Kenwick only really gaining scoreboard control through the last 5-10 mins. I think some goal kicking practice will be due through the next few weeks heading into BCL.

Some very interesting results indeed. Melville the biggest shock for me, coming down from b grade and retaining most players and gaining some top midfielders such as brad boulten they would of been confident. Its only round 1 so willbe interesting to see how they bounce back. Wheres the golden fleece these days?

Not unexpected to see thornlie and ballajura off to a good starts after dominating C2 in recent years. Funny to hear unfair personal banter on Melville's brad Boulton who played only lower grades at willeton, perhaps he was a beneficiary of Melville being a dozen short with a wedding. Looks like they had a Reserves team made up of half colts. A few weddings affecting the ammos this week with the one round before Easter

I used to play against brad a few years ago and saw him as an up and coming player, ive been away from footy for a while, but saw his name on the team sheet for the league team.

I was only going off what i had seen of him a few years back and thought it was great to see him get a chance in league, wasnt aware melville were short of players. Maybe brad is a lower grades player but thats for the Melville FC to decide
