Well the time is here and round one is this coming weekend. With some clubs having played a few scratch matches, and tested out new game plans its now time to play for points. I'll try my best at doing the tipping chart for the year, and i think there is also a waafl tipping comp on the waafl website you can tip on.

Cottesloe V Coolbinia West Perth @ Cottesloe Oval

After being only in the comp for a few years Cottesloe made the C4 grand final last year but narrowly going down to belmont. There first hurdle is to get over a former C2 side in Coolbinia, who were the only team to come down due to swan view folded. Having not played either side i'm going to go with Coolbinia by 4 goals

Belmont V Mosman Park @ Forster Park

C4 premiers last year and hoping to get off to a good start Belmont take on Mosman Park who didn't make finals last year but there reserves made the gf. Wonder if they'll push some ressie players up to league.

Brentwood Booragoon V Manning @ Karoonda Reserve

These two sides hoping to make improvements on last year. Haven't heard much so far about either side so going with Manning by 9 points

Piara Waters V Dianella Morley @ Piara Waters Pavillion

With new recruits in the pre season and a couple of good scratch mates against Warnbro and Armadale the boys down at Piara are ready to go. With good numbers through all 3 grades we are looking at going further than last year (not out in straight sets). Against the same rd 1 as last year Dianella should be a good hit out and i'm going with my boys Piara by 5 goals

So its Queens Park Reserve, unless they are playing on the swamp next door.
Since when can a team just change a grounds name? City of Canning still show it as a QP Reserve.

That was the name it went by last year as well, it is QPR. Soklich & Co won a naming rights raffle I believe..... only applies to WAAFL games.

Cott seem to improve every year and I think they will be somewhat of a surprise this year and make finals. COTT 6 GOALS

Belmont V Mosman Park @ Forster Park

Belmont usually struggle when going up a grade and I think this year will be no different. Mosman Park are a finals side on their best day and pretty ordinary once a few key players are out. I think Mosman are healthy coming into round 1 so MOSSIES BY 5 GOALS

Brentwood Booragoon V Manning @ Karoonda Reserve

Manning got the better of them last year I'm pretty sure so I'll take them again. MANNING BY 2 GOALS

Piara Waters V Dianella Morley @ Piara Waters Pavillion

Piara will have lots of depth all season long and I predict a top 3 finish for them. PIARA BY 8 GOALS

Snesa V Ellenbrook @ Soklich oval

Snesa can beat anyone on any given day but with an a few key players now slidign back into reserves I think its going to be a long season. Eels look like they will have some depth andim predicting a top 3 finish for them this season. EELS BY 7 GOALS
