The Spring Football Leagues 2016 season concludes this Sunday with the finals and the Grand Finals in all 3 divisions being played at Gosnells Oval. Div 3 finals start at 11am with the div 1 and 2 finals to be played later in the day . The Division 1 Grand Final will start at 4.50 pm. The finals format is a a top 4 with 1st playing 4 and 2nd v 3rd and the two winners playing of in the Grand Final later in the day.
Division 1 will see The Giants start as favourites but will have to defeat Belmont in the semi final to make the Grand Final. The Giants at their best will be very hard to beat and are a very skill running team . Belmont are a very disciplined organised team who will take it right up to The Giants and will not be a huge surprise if Belmont win. The second semi will see Gosnells up against Bruce Rock. Gosnells have been very consistent all season while Bruce Rock have been up and down. Bruce Rock at their best will take it up to any team and will have to be at their best to beat Gosnells and make it into the Grand Final.
Division 2 will see Young Guns start clear favourites even though they will be missing their best 3 players in Quentin Narkle , Shae Bolten and Sam Petrovski-Seton who were all taken in the AFL draft two weeks ago. Coolbelup and Manning will have to have extremely good days to take out the premiership though both teams have played some extremely good football at times.
Division 3 will see Kelmscott start clear cut favourites. They are an outstanding team of 15,16 and 17 year olds from the Kelmscott junior football club and have dominated at times against the older senior players. The Floggs have improved as the season has gone on winning 3 of the last 4 and will be Kelmscotts biggest threat. Lam and Friends and Bayswater will have to play above themselves to be be a threat.
