The difference between c1 and c4 is quite a bit, as you'll find out this year going up 1 grade. And no one doubts that the Belmont boys certainly think they are the "maddest dawgs" goin round.
Also why would you say cott would take it out if Belmont didn't, when you've got piara as your number 2 prediction after yourselves?

churpah1000 wrote: For starters C3 is not a harder comp at all, and i would say that there isn't much difference between C4 and C1 except for the top 2 teams in each comp ( we aren't talking A grade and B grade here)

Belmont will win because they are mad dawgs (its just simple math), if they don't Cottesloe will... they are a highly skilled team who had a ridiculous record in second halves last year.

Churpah. Have you seen much C grade footy recently... there are always exceptions as there are so many variables in local footy but your claim to throw a blanket over the grades is way off the mark. From my eyes I think C3 and C4 are quite similar when you take out teams struggling and teams dominating. Bit C2 would be a little step up.. kind of the middle ground before taking a larger step up to C1.

Then the step up the B throws in the even bigger variable of spending (yes let's not have a eyes in the sand) of clubs in b grade. Then A is another leap again in across the comp standard.

Teams like BalAjura and Quinn's have shown with great colts systems and numbers you can clim through the C grades quickly. But getting through C1 and B is a huge challenge.

I think it's obvious now clubs can push right up to competitiveness in B grade but then unless your prepared to join the dollars and cents brigade winning B or getting to A is a step too far.

Belmont have been well lead of late and will go well in C3 but the quality players in any one team in differ so much from season to season predictions are hard to make !

I have been watching A through to the D grades for a long time now and I can safely say that if you think the standard between C1 and C4 is that different you haven't been watching much your self!

The team that wins C4 in 2017 would definitely hold its own and could make finals in C1 no problems!

Having played in many of the grades I mentioned above for the last 12 years I can safely say that there only becomes a noticeable difference once you step into B grade and up to A reserves e.c.t

As I said originally, take out the outliers of each of these comps because there will always be a shit team or 2 and maybe 1 really dominant team that can't be beat, but the rest of the clubs are a much of a muchness.

I know you guys probably want to think the grades above are such a higher standard so you can use it as the reason you have been languishing in the low grades for so many years but the fact of the matter is they just aren't and the reason for your club not progressing to put it simply is because it is fucking shit!

;) love you all

Arnt Belmont the ones who have historically either gone straight up and down again, or asked the WAAFL to stay down a grade even after winning the GF?

There is a huge difference in skill / fitness / team structures ect from C4 to C1.

Huge difference!!! bahahaha

and I wouldn't know about Belmont's History.

The only Difference between the C grades is the amount of darts and bush chooks each teams Full Forward sucks back before the game.

I agree Sand surfer, churpah has been hitting the bong a bit too hard....

having played C4, C3 and C2 in the last few years C4-C3 very similar... C2 step up and C1 another step up.

C4 team would struggle in C2 as we did when we made two grandfinals in a row
