As Maddington & Stirling played off in the C1 Grand Final is there an obligation for Stirling to field a colts side in 2017 in order to qualify for promotion into B Grade?

As far as I can ascertain Stirling did not have a colts side in 2016 unless it played in a different colts division.

Both Maddo and Stirling will struggle to be successful/ be promoted to A grade in the near future as they have no depth at all. Their ressies team are average and stirling with no colts and maddo whose colts struggled over past few years.

Interesting how these clubs can stay in B/ continue to be successfull and attract good players to thheir clubs without the incentive of player payments. Unless of course there are under the table payments occuring

The WAAFL changed the rules a number of years ago (10?) and A grade or B grade sides have no obligation to field colts teams.

From memory Stirling and Wembley have both participated in A grade without having a colts team.

Stirling will go strait back down to c1. Just like Quinn's and Melville. It's a big jump from C to B.

Stirling did not field a Colts side after they were promoted to "B" Grade in 2015. And also their League Side came 2nd Last, and their Reserves finished last with out winning a game. Going to be worse for them next year with an exodus of players leaving the club.

Boothead- who are the players that are rumoured to be leaving at Stirling? It seems as though you are in the know

If the gay marriage thing becomes legal next year, then most of the Stirling players will be organising and attending each other's weddings I reckon, ruling them out for the year

A few people have said to me that the jump from C1 to B is harder than the jump from B to A. How accurate is this assessment?

Not a good one

C to B - You must have 5 high Quality players on the field
B to A - You must have 8 High Quality players on the field

High Quality Player Def - At least 1-2 Seasons of WAFL footy under there belt

Heard rumours Maddington don't want to move up to B grade and are seeking to remain in C1. Anyone have any further info on this?
