Results went pretty much as expected last week but I think it's going to be harder to predict this week. unfortunately it looks to be yet another wet Saturday which may ruin the games as a spectacle and keep the crowds away.
First Semi Final - Piara Waters v Ellenbrook
Piara challenged Nollamara early last week but couldn't sustain it. They now face an Ellenbrook side brimming with confidence after a convincing win over Manning. It's all over for the loser so it'll be no holds barred, very tough one to pick, I'm tempted to go for Piara at home but something tells me the Eels will come to play and will get over the line in a tight one.
Second Semi Final - Swan Valley v Nollamara
Valley touched Nolla up in the first round but had the favour returned in the second meeting. Plenty at stake with the winner gaining promotion and a weeks rest ahead of the big dance. Not sure either side will be favoured or disadvantaged by the wet weather but I will stick with the Valley at home.
Reserves
First Semi Final Piara Waters v Mosman Park
I think Mossies are a bit of a dark horse in this comp, probably have a few league players that are qualified so should be at full strength whilst the Falcons have both teams playing. I'll pick Mossies on that alone.
Second Semi Final - Swan Valley v Ellenbrook
Another local derby, always adds some spice! A win each during the season and close games too! Hard to go past our boys at home to win and get the chance to defend their title.
Colts
First Semi Final - Secret Harbour v Kwinana
Kwinana only beat Swan Valley last as Valley's score (26 points) got wiper early in the second quarter due to an extra player so I can't see them getting past Secret Harbour. The top three sides have been a class above the rest all season and it won't change now.
Second Semi Final - Belmont v Ellenbrook
Belmont have dominated since the halfway mark of the season but will be challenged by the Eels. There hasn't been much between the top three but I'll go the Bombers in front of their home crowd.
Good luck to all and lets hope the weather isn't too bad!
