Here we are with one round to play before the big sing and dance. A competitive year early then teams slowly dropping off. A big run by the two Cannings... Canning Vale much improved and their results speak for themselves. Canning Tigers have roared home, smashing the lesser lights and scaring the top couple. Culminating in a old Sunday league squashing of Gosnells on the weekend.

Thornlie have continued on doing what they do best. Winning regular season games. Ballajura have showed their club is up for anything by winning a C3 flag then clinching a top 3 spot in C2 less than 12 months later.

Warnbro have disappointed by missing the finals but it seems they were more interested in their reserves premiership hopes. High Wycombe tried to add some bite with some mid season recruiting. Competitive as they were it counted for nothing and now look to build for 2017.

Lynwood struggled despite showing signs they could match it early. Despite lack of depth and enough good players failed them. Coolbinia west Perth look like a club with no direction this year. Perhaps losing many older players who helped them to finals last year. C3 for them next year and a chance to bounce back.

Swan View the disaster of the year. Losing the coach before round 1 and this club has history of falling apart. Whispers are they are off to the Hills Football Association next year which is a one team comp and if some players return they could have some success.

To the games this week.

Canning confirm 4th with the week off and a 90-1 forfeit win over Swan View.

Gosnells v High Wycombe
Gosnells will be aiming to bounce back and go into finals with winning form. High Wycombe had a strong win last week and could give them a shake but I'll take Gosnells to show why they are second.
Gosnells by 27 points.

Thornlie vs Lynwood Ferndale
The lions will rest some here but still get the job done to complete their undefeated season.
Thornlie by 75 points

Ballajura vs CWP
Ballajura hoping HW can beat Gosnells and they can snatch 2nd.
A big win here by 80 points.

Warnbro vs Canning Vale
CV needed a massive win to get 4th back of the Tigers. But Warnbro are not that easy to beat. Canning Vale to win by 23points.

Great write up Tiger and loved the analysis for the season for each club, on Point.

Grand final in my eyes is still up for grabs, Thornlie have won every game this year but not every one of them convincingly. I don't think they had seen Gosnells or Ballajura at their best, and Canning Vale seem a real threat but with the younger body inclusions since their colts folding they don't seem to be able to play out the full 100mins. Canning South Perth with their win over Gosnells are very much in the mix too so a promotion is really up for every one of the top 5.

My tips
Gosnells by 50, High Wycombe's last game and Gosnells will have to bounce back from last weeks disappointing defeat.

Thornlie by 100, Lynwood have dropped off greatly since these two teams played last and have been blown away by every opponent the last 8 rounds.

Ballajura by 100 points, CWP to get knocked back to C3, their side lacks depth and their ball movement along with their skills lacks. Some good ball winners in their mix but they've got a way to go before they are going to win any more games.

Canning Vale by 60 points. Hoping for an upset but :)
