Nollamara 13.10-88 def Swan Valley 9.11-65

Nolla took out the top of the table clash winning what was a very tight contest until the last 5-10 minutes of the game. Never more than a kick or two in it until that point. Barring an upset Valley will finish top and get a weeks rest but Nolla will head into finals as premiership favourites now.

Dianella Morley 10.11-71 def by Ellenbrook 11.6-72

It must of been a cracker with the Raiders playing for their finals hopes which are now cooked. Any news from this game? Final second controversies or missed chances?

Armadale 9.8-62 def by Mosman Park 11.13-79

Good to see the Demons more competitive, making Mosman Park earn a win in a game where only pride was at stake. Back to C4 and rebuild again for the Demons.

Manning Rippers 10.14-74 def by Piara Waters 15.16-106

A comfortable win to Piara perhaps showing Manning are not quite up to the sides above them?

Brentwood Booragoon 11.14-80 def by Snesa 12.15-87

A crucial win to the Saints that takes them out of the relegation zone, both sides take on top five opponents last game so it may just stay that way. I'm still assuming only one side will be relegated due to Swan View folding so it probably doesn't matter anyway.

On form the only change in the top five could be Manning moving above Ellenbrook into fourth and a home final if they can beat SNESA and the Eels lose to Nolla as expected. First week of finals should see Nolla hosting Piara Waters in the Qualifying Final and Manning hosting Ellenbrook in the Elimination Final, but stranger things have happened!

Didn't see the 2nd half of the game Dingo but heard there was a couple of Eels kicks that went through the big 2 but got called behinds in the last quarter by the DM goal ump. Oh well, that's what happens when you play in the lower grades without neutral umpires I guess. It was even pretty much the whole last quarter from all accounts.

Allegedly there was a bit of a brawl after the game between spectators and a bit of spice on the fields as well. I'll probably hear a bit more at training during the week.....

Another good write up dingo.

If those predictions come true, with first week of finals, bit early but this is what I'm thinking based on season form, I know its a different ball game when finals roll around but getting in early.

Hypothetically: Nolla v Piara
I'm backing Piara in this one (especially with neutral umpires, Nolla's has to be on par with the mossie park umpire- both are ridiculous), Nolla have shown they are a top side but after watching them 4-5 times this year i feel they get too caught up in the physical aspect, from a few reports there has been a couple full team brawls. However when they are on they are on, and in the last 10 mins of the game on the weekend they were certainly on. Was an interesting game to watch.
Piara are a good hard team who seem to trouble all sides despite the win loss ratio. I think in a final they will come out with the goods.

Manning V Ellenbrook.
I would not have a clue who to pick here, really is a toss of a coin, however i do believe that ellenbrook have greater depth in their squad and could come away with the win. wouldnt be surprised if manning won this though. unfortunately I've only seen both manning and ellenbrook play once this year so I'm really just going off what I've watched.

Once again I know it's early but interested to hear what everyone else thinks

It will be important that Manning get the home final Saturday week. It will be a good day for the club as we haven't been in finals for some time, and we won the last game against them at our ground.
Having said that, Ellenbrook are in the 5 for a reason. Simply put, they deserve to be there. Finals footy is a different kettle of fish to home-and-away footy, so I expect Ellenbrook to be firing, as will we.
Nolla and Piara will be a cracker of a game as well. Piara, once again, got us (Manning) with 15 minutes of good footy in the last quarter which sealed the game, so I struggle to pick a winner in this one.
All these comments come with a caveat that this weekend's games go to script and the favourites get up.
C3 is going to be a great watch during the finals.
