The Valley totally dominated the bottom placed Demons who didn't score until the third quarter. Rain and over use of the footy in the first quarter kept the Valley to six goals but three ten goal quarters after that sank the hapless Demons. To their credit they kept trying but to no avail.

The Rippers pretty much snuffed out Mossies slim finals chances with a solid win. There's now a tight contest from fourth to sixth in the run home to the finals.

The Raiders bounced back to form with a strong win over the Saints. It keeps their finals hopes alive and will need to carry the form into a big home clash with top side Swan Valley next week.

Nollamara got the job done and maintain second spot and top spot still within their reach.

Some great match ups over the last three rounds that will decide the make up of the final five. Whilst the top three are guaranteed spots the places are still up for grabs and fourth and fifth spots may very well not be decided until round 18.

Checked the clearances, about the same number in and out but maybe better players left? They lost Malcolm Yarran to Gosnells.

No mate, I'm an old Sunday league boy and sadly those days are long gone! Big crowds, good footy and great rivalries!

i have zero proof to any of this but my experience tells me that if you are compensating players and then stop.. those players dissappear.. thinking armadale and swan view.. clubs that are built through a colts system where everyone is equal seem to survive.. clubs who have large bank rolls can climb the grades.. untill it runs out! others just float around in C 1-2-3-4

Yeah swan view never paid people to play. Colts fell away couple years back, the young boys would rather go gym, and get "loose" at festivals than play footy with mates on a satday arvo. very sad state of affairs. But yeah a lot of boys left this year and get paid now, never at swan view though. Can't really see swan view getting back up for a number of years though, culture around the area is not good

Looking forward to seeing who makes the gf in this grade though. Would like to see valley make it being as though a couple of mates play out there, but then it is also valley

I noticed Des Headland played his 5th and final qualifying game weekend before last against Manning.

Anyone from Manning shed any light on how he actually went? Nolla won by 20 points so maybe not so influential?
