Great game as expected, especially in tough conditions! Wasn't too bad until the heavens opened up around half time. Never much in it all day with an inaccurate Valley keeping Piara in the game. The result was still up for grabs with around ten minutes to go, I look forward to the possibility of seeing these two sides clash in the finals, hopefully in good weather, conditions have been tough both games this year.

The Eels got things back on track with a solid win and keep pressure on Piara for third spot. They play each other this week in a crucial clash. Mossies are still an outside chance for finals but they will need to find something extra quickly.

Not sure what's happened at the Raiders? Injuries or travel? Three weeks ago they were coming home with a wet sail but they've now dropped three in a row. Looking at who they played perhaps they're not quite up to the top five sides? They're still in with a sniff but like Mossies it needs to happen quickly.

Manning very competitive again against a top side. It's a pity depth is an issue as they have the potential to cause trouble in the finals at their best. Nolla cruising along nicely, the only challenge is to try and get a bye the first week of the finals by knocking off the Valley in round 17.
