Well what an interesting it has been both on the field and off the field. MrM unduly apologises for a lack of last weekend’s write-up. It seems the I.T department at work has noticed a lot of traffic on the servers towards this particular site and deemed it a spam account and clearly deemed counterproductive towards any given persons work station. So here I am, typing in the local cafe, mugging their Wi-Fi as I attempt to do this week’s write up. For any person willing to help me out, I am currently in negotiations with I.T department, but they are unwillingly to budge from their request of me stop wasting works time so it could be a while before OzFooty is taken off the list of black marked websites in my office.

Thank you for all who were concerned about MrM wellbeing as well, the flowers were a lovely gesture; however MrM can assure you that he is fine and full of good health.

An interesting round of results for all teams, Kingsway managed to put them in a great position with a good win over North Freo, Mt Lawley got one over Wembley, Swan Ath got the upset over Collegians and Whitford did what they needed to do against Melville. As for Wanneroo, well MrM enjoyed a lovely trip up north to Ridgewood on the weekend, and it certainly had the crowds guessing, who is MrM. I can tell the Quinns faithful, they were definitely off the mark.

MrM awoke Saturday, looked out the window and thought, gee it might not be too bad today at all that was until MrM arrived at the lovely location of Ridgewood and thought, yeah, it might be a bad day after all as the skies grew darker. MrM did come prepared though, knowing and hearing the Quinns canteen may be a little sup-par

MrM made the decision to purchase a coffee from the BP across the road, and a nice sausage roll to go with it as MrM arrived just in time to see Wanneroo colts meander out onto the field. It was a danger game for Wanneroo colts, so they were going to need to play good football if they wanted to walk away with a win here. MrM knows that the colts age was lifted a few seasons ago but MrM strongly thinks #25 from Quinns colts was easily the same age as the number on his back, he had a full beard and all. Wanneroo controlled the game right from the outset, and it was never in doubt as the managed to win by 10 goals.

MrM mustered up the confidence and courage to briefly brave the weather and nip back in undercover as he went to the canteen. MrM had heard some murmurs about a sign for MrM but, he had to see for himself. It read, SORRY NO CHIPs Mr Mysterious Thank to Wanneroo Council. Bull Burgers are Best.
Well MrM thought he’d enquire as to why it was the councils fault and they informed MrM that it was due to no exhaust fans...MrM did notice an oven in the kitchen though, so perhaps they could cook hot chips, but choose not to. MrM heeded the advice though and thought why not try a bull burger. Well there was no bull about the burger, it was the best. Very comparable with the burger North Freo produced, MrM may call it a tie, as the pressure to try and determine a winner got to MrM. Not bad from the Quinns canteen though, and the service was lovely. 6.75/10...No hot chips hurt the score badly.

Wanneroo Reserves were desperate for a win and they played some good football along the way, but they also played some bad football which cost them any chance of a victory. Amidst the wind and the rain Quinns managed to piece together some good football and run away with a victory.

Well despite the wind and the rain, (no fire, sorry James Taylor) the League game was still going ahead, and despite the fact the ground looked like a dirt track. If it was a sunny day MrM would expect they’d play the French open there as the clay surface would almost be suffice to play tennis on it.

Wanneroo kicked into the breeze in the first quarter and kicked 0.5, once again failing to put pressure on the scoreboard when they had the chance as Quinns manage to convert their chances in front of goal. Wanneroo managed to kick some goals with the breeze throughout the second quarter as they pieced together some good football for 25 minutes. You could tell which players were working hard, as their shorts had turned form white into black. Half time came and Wanneroo were still down by a few goals with plenty of work to do. The Wanneroo faithful, headed off to BP to grab themselves a nice coffee, whilst MrM huddled around the heaters to try and regain the use of my outer limbs.

MrM was disappointed; I was told Quinns had a fire pit?! Yet I saw no fire pit, although it was raining, so therefore a good idea, otherwise we’d have been smoked out.

Wanneroo came out in the third quarter and looked a little off the pace, as Quinns were trying their best to get down and dirty, one player must have taken it literally as after Quinns slotted a goal, he elbowed a Wanneroo player in the back of the head and then wondered why he received his marching orders for doing so?! Either he didn’t realise it is against the rules to do so
Either way, Wanneroo were down by a 4 goals, needed to double their goals tally in the final term just to try and get back into the contest. They couldn’t manage to do so as the rain started again, and they were costly in front of goal, they managed to peg the margin back a little, but it wasn’t too be as Quinns won by 3 goals.
The relegation battle now really heats up as Wanneroo still have plenty of work to do to try and avoid that.

Not a bad day at Quinns, but I think the faithful were a little off in determining who MrM really is, talk of one particular individual is well off the mark...

May have to get cctv footage from the bp to determine who you are Mr M

Although I'm sure you weren't the only one to purchase a coffee and sausage roll that morning, it may narrow down the field of suspects though
