What a big weekend this is, not only do we have 5 very important football games but also its the weekend Australia decides (but more on that later).
All teams currently in the Top 5 would consider themselves every chance to make an impact come finals time as on their day, anything could happen, as we saw the B Grade Premiers 2015 come from Fifth position last year. However never underestimate the importance of a home final, as teams battle for ladder position
Teams currently outside the Top 5 will need a minor miracle to play finals football this season and can't afford to lose here. Especially for those in the relegation battle.
EOFY- an important time for some, for others, they wouldn't have a clue what it all meant, however it's an important time for those accountants and financial gurus. So happy EOFY to all 8,751 Taxation Accountants in Australia. Good luck to you as you wrap up for the financial year today, enjoy a beverage tomorrow, and get back to working hard on Monday please.

MrM would prefer a hot chip vendor. Can somebody make it happen? I severely doubt it though, seeing as some clubs can't even get that sorted for a home game experience, be warned all, MrM is in no mood to mess around when it comes to hot chips, or MrM will take matters into his own hands.
Into the football this weekend.
Swan Athletic v Whitford @Fawell Park
Last time they met
Whitford 16.7 (103) defeated Swan Athletic 12.4 (76)
It's definitely an important game for Swan here as either one of the sides below them will get a win this weekend which could see them fall back into the relegation calculations, however an upset win this weekend could spur them on to finishing off the season strongly. Whitford have a very good chance here to either grab top spot if Wembley slip up, or solidify themselves inside the top 2 with a win here. They are playing some very good football at the moment and will no doubt be looking to bigger and better things as the season moves along. Should be a tough game for all, and I'm thinking that Whitford will win, but just.

North Fremantle v Mt Lawley @Gil Fraser Oval
Last time they met
Mt Lawley 9.22 (76) defeated by North Fremantle 16.4 (100)
What a difference 9 rounds of football make. Last time these two sides played North Fremantle had a good win, but have since fallen to well outside the top 5 and now sit two games behind fifth spot. They will need to play out of their skins if they are to reach finals at this stage and will need to start this weekend. Mt Lawley are going along nicely after having a good win last weekend and are setting themselves up for a good run come finals time. They boast arguably the two best forwards in the competition and they seem to get plenty to supply. North Freo will need to do there best to ensure they stay in the contest here, but I think Mt Lawley will have the edge here.

Melville v Quinns District @Melville Reserve MOTR
Last time they met
Quinns District 20.17 (137) defeated Melville 9.3 (57)
People are probably thinking "Gee willikers MrM, 10th v 9th as your choice this week". Well it might not be the best standard of football, but this game of football definitely means something to both these sides. That's why this is Match Of The Round.
Quinns have not won a game since they last played Melville and have the current longest losing streak in B Grade something I'm sure they will be keen to make amends of this weekend. It's an important game for them as a win would ensure they don't fall to the bottom of the ladder, but they face a Melville side who is equally as desperate to win. Melville have put up some improved performances recently but they haven't all translated to wins. They will need to start winning soon to try and avoid relegation and this weekend is as a good chance as any. Given its s Melville home game, I'm inclined to go with them, however don't count out Quinns.
Melville by 1 goal
Wembley v Collegians @Pat Goodridge Reserve
Last time they met
Collegians 7.13 (55) defeated by Wembley 13.9 (87)
Wembley are flying at the moment and nobody looks like slowing them down any time soon. Week in week out they produce the goods and are definitely in the box seat to finish top spot by seasons end. That's if they can continually play consistent football and will need to this weekend. Collegians are the silent assassin as they currently sit in third position and are humming along quite nicely as the season goes on. To be considered real contenders they will need to get a win here and really announce themselves on the competition. Wembley will win here though.
Wembley by 3 goals
Wanneroo v Kingsway @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Last time they met
Kingsway 9.9 (63) defeated Wanneroo 9.6 (60)
Wanneroo let another game slip last weekend and now face an enormous up hill battle to play finals football this season. They will need to start playing 100 minutes of football to get there and they certainly can start this weekend in a big game for both clubs. Kingsway, they need a win here so they can maintain touch with the rest of the competition. A loss and they open up the door for others to be able to slip in and take advantage of that. Wanneroo v Kingsway games always bring out the best of both sides, but Wanneroo will be the ones who get the win here.
Wanneroo by 3 goals
Good luck to all this weekend. Let's keep up the banter. I'm sure we are still yet to confirm if Quinns do indeed have a fire pit at home games?!
