Been pretty quite this year on the E1 front on here so hopefully I can get some good talk started with this mid season review as I have the day of work.
It is a very tight league so far with 9 teams still in contention for the finals though there is a gap between the top 4 and the rest .

East Fremantle. 8-1
They are very determined to go 1 better this year and have retained most of their list from last year and if anything they look to be stronger with some very handy new recruits . Really strong midfield with some big bodies all over the ground. They move the ball well have a great fast moving playing style and structure and structure up well all over the ground and seem to have good depth with a number of C3 league players from 2014 missing out on a game and waiting in the wings to get a game .They will definitely be there at the business end of the year and will be hard to beat. Have only lost one game so far to Roleystone at home they won't lose to many more.

Roleystone 8 -1
My boys keep getting the job done. We are not at the level we were at from the last 2 years and it is a credit to the great coaching staff, that we always seem to have , we have that we are sitting we we are and in a position to again challenge for the flag. We should improve from here and hopefully can defend the flag. Only loss so far was against Swans at Basso when we were missing quite a few first choice players and good wins over rivals East Fremantle and Secret Harbour.

Swans. 7-2
What can you say about Swans. Their link to Swan Districts sees them very well coached and they move the ball extremely quickly have fast run ,carry and spread and play on at all costs and will be very hard to beat come the finals. We hear that they maybe missing quite a few players come the finals though they always seem to find replacements. They touched us up fairly easily and their only loss was to Secret Harbour. They will be very hard to beat come finals time if they can keep the same squad together and with the backing of Swan Districts will make sure they keep playing the right type of football

Secret Harbour 7-2
They will be right there at business end if the season as you would expect from a club coming down from C3. Were C4 grand finalists in 2014 so they will have a lot of talent to choose from. Started the season slowly but have an old experienced coach who knows his businesses and has been around along time and has them playing a solid brand of run and carry football with some good mids. They have a very young team and this will be great for their future. The only team to beat Swans but have lost to Roleystone and East Fremantle.

Yanchep 4-5
Yanchep seem to have dropped away a bit from last year and are just holding on to 5 spot having 4 teams chasing after them. They have a very good structured team and play a good brand of footy though they maybe lack some pace in the midfield and up forward but have very good coaches who make sure they play the right type of footy. They will be dangerous in the second half of the year but will have to be more consistent if they are to be flag contenders.

Safety Bay 3-6
Safety Bay have dropped away a lot from the team that won the flag in 2014. It was good to finally get revenge against them for that crazy 2 point grand final loss from 2014 and we beat them easily by 13 goals though it was a bit bittersweet as they only had 3/4 players left from that grand final team with the majority of there players reserves players from 2014 . They were a shadow of that team and had little of the dominant structure and game plan that they had in 2014. They seem to have improved a far bit as the season goes on an could sneak into the 5.

Forrestfield 3-6
They are the major over achievers of the comp this year as it is really hard to see how they have won three games this year. We beat them by 20 goals and in that game they had little structure or game plan and seemed to rely on a few good midfield players and some good big forward players and had quite a few passengers. In fairness they had a lot of injuries but so do most clubs and obviously they don't have any depth which could cause them major problems as the season goes on and it will hard to find players at this time of the year.

Bayswater 2 1/2-6
If Forrestfield are the over achievers of the comp then Bayswater are the major underachievers of the comp and I can't believe they have only won 2 games. They looked to have as talented and skillfull team as any in the comp when we played them and as we had a lot of injuries that day we felt that Bayswater were going to over run us but their slow moving ,plodding game style ,which is suprisinly completely opposite to the free flowing fast moving game style that gave them success in 2014 , didn't allow it and we held on . They will be dangerous if they get their act together in the run home.

Coolbelup 2-7
Coolbelup will always give you a hard game and are never far of the pace though this year they seem to lack a little bit of skill that they always seem to have and they as always seem to not play four quarters and always seem to have 1 or two bad quarters. They will test most teams and if they click and get their fast run and carry going that we all know they can do then they will worry most teams but they have a big job to make the finals.

ECU. 0-9
They will learn from this year and are building their club. Have a few decent players and many passengers.
