It's Round 10 this weekend and we are on the home stretch, if this was a horse race Vo Rogue would be out by 10 lengths by now, and if you're Winx, well you'd be 5 lengths back waiting to make your mark with 350 to go. Wembley is no Vo Rogue, but they do have as good as a chance as any to take home the B Grade Stakes, breathing down there necks are a few teams who will come home strong.
It will be interesting to see if any clubs are affected by the Uni break coming up. If you're struggling for numbers, June 30th isn't far away, contact MrM and he may consider donning a different jumper- clubs without deep fryers and whom are unwilling to meet my hot chip demand need not apply.

16.
That's not the number of women who have rejected MrM's advances this past week, but the number of days till the election and Australia will decide who is best to run our country that day. You may ask what have both party leaders been up too this week MrM, well both were in the great state of Western Australia and both were out and about talking up this state. It would be very remiss of MrM to not mention that Wanneroo's very own "Mr Notoriety" aka The President actually got to meet Malcolm Turnbull. No word on whether it was at the $10,000 a head lunch, but MrM knows the "Mr Notoriety" tag will stick on the President for a while yet.

Personally MrM is very much looking forward to this weekend, so without further ado here we go.

Swan Athletic v Quinns District @Fawell Park

Last time they met
Quinns District 14.10 (94) defeated Swan Athletic 13.6 (84)

What a huge game this is for both clubs here. A win for either side would give them a much needed win and some brief breathing room from each other. Swan Ath would definitely be pleased they managed a win last weekend and should have gained plenty of confidence out of that. Given they have a relatively healthy percentage a win here would definitely boost them and hold them in good stead. Quinns, started the season well, but haven't won since Round 3 and if they don't win this weekend it's going to be tough to get anything from this season. I expect both clubs will come out firing, but aided by a home crowd, Swan Ath will get a win here.
Swan Athletic by 3 goals

North Fremantle v Wembley @Gil Fraser Oval

Last time they met
Wembley 15.6 (96) defeated North Fremantle 13.5 (83)

Last time these two played, I thought it was a definite certainty, an early season Grand Final preview. Wembley are holding up there end of the bargain, but North Freo have faltered in recent weeks. Wembley are looking the goods at the moment and MrM saw first hand last week what they will do to you if you give them an inch. If they continue to play good football then they remain a favourite to finish first on the ladder. As stated North Freo have stalled in recent weeks, dropping games they'd been have expected to win and as a result have slipped outside the top 5. A loss this weekend and they will be square on the ledger and have plenty of work to do to play finals. Wembley should be too good, even away from home here.
Wembley by 4 goals

Whitford v Kingsway @MacDonald Reserve MOTR

Last time they met
Kingsway 11.6 (72) defeated Whitford 10.5 (65)

Well another big game for both clubs here. Can Whitford avenge the early season loss they suffered here and can Kingsway yet again prove all wrong and grab a win which would definitely give them a huge boost for a finals spot. Should be a contest which is why this is Match Of The Round.
Whitford took care of one challenge last weekend and managed to assert themselves on the contest, before Mt Lawley came back late. This could very well be a make or break contest for them a win and they could have a chance at a game final, a loss and plenty to teams ready to take up that spot. Kingsway are the dark horse, they managed a few close wins early which has put them in good stead now. The big question is if they can keep up there form and play finals. Whitford will win here though as they are too good all over, especially for a young Kingsway.
Whitford by 4 goals

Melville v Mt Lawley @Melville Reserve

Last time they met
Mt Lawley 14.9 (93) defeated Melville 11.8 (74)

Melville have definitely put up improved performances of late and will need to win this weekend, as they know 1 of the two teams above them will be getting a win. Mt Lawley will be desperate for a win as they too know a win good be valuable as they could jump into 3rd.
Melville need to keep playing consistent football which will give them the best chance they have to try and avoid relegation. They can't afford to be good one week and poor the next and they will need to start to improve soon if they want to avoid that dreaded relegation zone. Mt Lawley have a good chance here to not only get a win, but close that gap to ensure they can get a double chance come finals time. If they don't want it, plenty more who do. Mt Lawley should get a win here.
Mt Lawley by 5 goals

Wanneroo v Collegians @Wanneroo Showgrounds

Last time they met
Collegians 12.19 (91) defeated Wanneroo 11.11 (77)

Games between these two teams usually bring out the best, if it's not on the field then it's usually in the crowd and that makes for a delightful contest. MrM is particularly looking forward to seeing the return T "Mankind" Foley to grade the hallowed Showgrounds Turf.

Wanneroo will need a win this weekend to ensure they don't lose touch with the top half of the ladder as they still have ambitions to play finals this season. They will need to bounce back after last weeks loss though and I'm sure they will. Collegians are going along just nicely, sitting in the top 5 they won't want to move for the rest of the season. They play good team football and have shown they can mix it with the best, so I definitely expect a good contest here. Wanneroo to get the win at home and send the Collegians gents back to the GT with nothing but fancy cars and houses and a HECS debt worth more than most of Wanneroo's property.
Wanneroo by 2 goals.

Good luck this weekend all. Play the game in the right spirits and enjoy.
I hope Collegians being there A game. The Wanneroo crowd have been in good form lately.
