Can you believe after this weekend we are already 1 month through the season? MrM can as you will know MrM doesn't miss much. We have seen a few surprise packets emerge, with Kingsway still occupying top spot on the ladder the biggest surprise of them all. If they can keep managing to sneak a few close wins like they have been then I'd say finals are a real possibility. Where as we have plenty of teams with some work to do in the next 15 Rounds. They say a week is a long time in football, so 15 weeks could seem like an eternity, buckle up gents (& ladies, I know you read this post) we are going to be in for a treat.
In case you're a new reader or have been living under a rock you'll know MrM is very big on the hot chip crusade. "Hot Chips For All" is my selling point, and they should be available for all at every football ground. I also ask for fair pricing, MrM might not be as big as a fighter as our man Tony Galati on the potato front, but I'll happily campaign for fairness when it comes to the pricing for a golden deep fried potato chip. You can imagine the look on MrM's face when a loyal subscriber of MrM's weekly write up sent him the following image, it shocked MrM to the core. They are pretty large chips, bordering on wedges nearly, but the pricing...please.
Alright, enough whinging and moping around like Fremantle supporters currently are, its time to focus on some real football, some WAAFL B Grade action.
Swan Athletic v Collegians @Fawell Park
It's an important game here for both clubs. Neither will want to fall and sit 1-3 after 4 Rounds. Swan Ath still have plenty of work to do if they are wanting to play finals again this season. They definitely are a much changed side from last season's but should still have the ability to compete for finals, they are a better side at home which definitely helps. Collegians are the great unknown, MrM liked what he saw early on, but after games against some good opposition last two weeks, they found they have plenty of work to do. My two favourite players in B Grade WAAFL will battle it out this week at opposite ends of the field. I'm predicting this will go the way of Swan Ath.

Melville v Whitford @Melville Reserve
Melville have found the early going tough in there return to B Grade this season as they are yet to register a win. It will be a tough road back if they fall to 0-4 . It might be a tough ask here though. They face a Whitford side that's desperate to keep winning as finals should be a serious goal. MrM thinks with Whitfords big forward line there might not be too much room especially at Melville, but they should still get it done.

Wembley v Mt Lawley @Pat Goodridge Reserve
Wembley, like many predicted, have got this year underway quite well and should have there eyes on bigger and better things this season. If they can maintain there best and avoid some slip ups like they have been known to, then they are looking the goods. Mt Lawley, haven't been as bad as many thought they might. The "Brothers of Destruction" up forward will ensure they cause many teams headaches. Wembley should get the job done here.

Wanneroo v Quinns District @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Well it's clear, Wanneroo has plenty of work to do this season. They cannot afford to slip to 0-4 if they are serious about playing finals football this year and face a mountain of work to get back on even. No better time to start winning though than in front of your home crowd and seeing as it's Past Players Day. It's adds to the excitement. Quinns should be pretty happy with themselves so far, with 2 wins things are looking pretty good for them. They won't be resting though, as moving to 3-1 will give them some breathing room. Wanneroo will break the duck this weekend and get there season underway.

North Fremantle v Kingsway @Gil Fraser Oval MOTR
With some night football on the cards for these two teams and seeing as they are both are looking good, I shall award this Match Of The Round.
North Freo won't be content with sitting fourth on the ladder and I expect a bigger effort this weekend from the, showing why many think they are the best team in the competition. A win here and they could could jump straight up to the top of the ladder. Kingsway, surprising many sit atop the B Grade ladder, hearing from a few they have won all there games relatively the same way, edging out in a close on. That's what you need to play finals, so I'm sure they'd take a good deal of confidence from that. It may be short lived though as I expect North Freo to be too good here. Night games could go either way, but I'll go with the home team.

Have fun this weekend all, play in the right spirit and enjoy. I look forward to mixing with past legends at Past Players Day at Wanneroo this weekend, here's hoping they remember MrM once snagged a few in the Reserves back in the day.
