Belmont and Jandakot setting the pace early. 1 would think this would have something to do with having strong colts systems in place for several years now.

Belmont after finishing a dismal 9th last year with only 5 wins are setting the pace at the top of the ladder. With both their reserves and colts flying it looks like depth may not be an issue like it has in the past.

Jandakot have traditionally been stronger in the 2's and colts but left a lot to be desired with their league side being along way off the pace. Full credit to them for really turning it around this season.

Cottesloe for what it's worth , I feel will still be premiers this year. Fantastic depth throughout the club and seem to have developed a winning culture in recent years.

Kwinana look to have dropped off a bit and I don't expect them to be as strong as they were last year. Top 5 is certainly realistic but it will be hard without their all conquering forward line of 2015.

Osborne Park still seem to be strong despite dropping a game they would of been expected to win against the resurgent Jandakot and having to share the points with an up and down Rossmoyne side. A few new faces in this year and a recent coaching change may mean it takes a while to get as a unit.

Cockburn Lakes seem to have found the drop in grades slightly harder than they might of hoped with just the one win. They have the cattle to make the top 5 but I don't see them doing much better than that.

Rossmoyne seem to be very up and down. Forcing a draw with Osborne Park, matching it with the Roosters until the final quarter but then being comprehensively beaten by a dissapointing Cockburn Lakes. With a very ordinary reserves team, a lack of depth may keep them out of finals.

Cobras appear to be well off where they were last year. One of the older sides in the competition that really quite heavily on a few big guns to get them over the line. This year may be a bit of a step back for the boys at Daviliak.

Forrestdale have found the gap between c4 and the e grades huge. Hopefully they can see out the year in the grade and continue to attract new players for a better prepared 2017. Full credit to them for taking on the challenge of C4 footy but I don't see them winning a game this year.

My tips for this weekend

Cockburn Lakes over the Cobras in a feisty Cockburn derby by 4 goals. I expect a few cards in this one too.

Jandakot to get over the line against Rossmoyne by 1-2 goals and continue their perfect start to the year.

Osborne Park to bounce back and just edge Belmont in a tight one.

And Kwinana to beat Forrestdale by 20-25 goals.

Judging by the weekend I would put jandakot and Belmont in the gf Osbourne park looks off the pace the weekend end score flattered them cos when u only kick 2 goals to 3quarter time u not gonna win many guess they were lucky jandakot ran out of people on the bench and cottesloe must be off if they lost a game at their shitbox windhole :pinch: guess we won't know until janDakot and Belmont play each other
