Ok looks like we have to get some A Grade reports that does not involve rubbishing Kelmscott so I will get it going.
Scarborough after 3 rounds remain unbeaten and look like one of the teams to beat and could do a Wesley Curtin and make the A Grade GF after making the. B Grade GF last year. It has been a long time since Scabs were in A Grade as they have come from C Grade to B Grade to A Grade without winning a flag. Trinity Aquinas and Uni are also looking good again and will be there at this business end of the season. North Beach had a massive win over CBC which was a bit of a surprise and they could also be a major player this season. CBC and Curtin Wesley will need to improve in their early season form to make an impact on the comp. Hammersley stole last years B Grade flag coming from 5 spot and lost some early games by some big margins and then came home with a wet sail and peaked at the right end if the season. They will need to find their form quickly. Kalamunda look like to be the easy beats of the competition this season and will struggle to win many games.

Hopefully that gets some meaningfull input on A Grade going .

Neither CBC or North Beach will have much impact this season if the skill levels on display at Saturdays game were anything to go by. Never seen so many dropped uncontested marks.

Your right there Major. I watched CBC play North Beach in a scratchy at Chas Riley before the season and wasn't sure which game was the A Grade one with games going on next to each other on the new oval at the same time they both looked of similar standard. I was told one was the A Grade and one was D 1 . The skill level by both CB and North Beach in the A Grade looked no better than the D1 game and I was thinking neither of these teams looked like they would go anywhere this season though I was assured Beach had heaps out.

I'm not convinced as yet Kingy that Scaboro are certainties. They have played two sides well down on numbers and confidence being Kelmscott & Hamersley Carine. They did beat Wesley by 3 points but Wesley are a bit down on form and will come good, trust me on that!

The big test for Scabs is this Saturday against University. If they keep within 3 goals of Uni, then I am on board for 2016!

Whilst WCC got flogged by TA's in Rnd One they had a few key outs and their performance against Uni last week suggests they will make the finals.

So my "April Premiers" Home & Away Ladder for 2016 is as follows:

1. Uni
2. TA's
3. West Coast
4. Wesley
5. Scabs

6. Nth Beach
7. CBC
8. Kelmscott
9. Kalamunda
10.Hamersley

What's everyone thinking after 6 rounds of A grade? Seems to be a bit of a 3 horse race at the moment between Uni, TA's and Scarborough. North Beach, West Coast & Wesley all 3-3 but have all been smacked at least once by teams in those top 3...

Interested to hear peoples thoughts on how the season is panning out and who will make the 5.

Cracker of a game between Scarborough and TA!

Very high standard - probably a fitting result.

I think TA went to Millington expecting an easier game but the Scarborough boys took it right up to them and even had a chance of winning.

Looks like a 3 horse race might have become a 2 horse race after Scarborough dropped a game to North Beach...biggest shock for me though is usual A grade powerhouses Wesley & CBC having 3-5 records.

After the weekends result in the top of the table clash are TA's now the team to beat?

Would love to get some regular commentary on the A grade going!

Scarborough did draw with TA and probably should have won - kicked 3.4 to 2.0 in the last quarter. Most people (apart from the goal umpire) thought the last point kicked by Re was a goal which would have put them in front.

They lost to North Beach at their home ground in appalling conditions - not really an indication of skill level that day!

So probably still a 3 horse race?
