It's Round 2 and early feedback is clear, MrM needs to lift or otherwise others are threatening to come in take my place. Despite my early preseason efforts MrM was found wanting last weekend and my spot as Senior B Grade football writer has come under question. Only getting 3/5 in B Grade tipping has really affected MrM and it was a similarly bad result for MrM in the A Grade tipping. If MrM is to maintain any sense of credibility a better showing is needed both on and off the field, here's hoping a strong showing this weekend will restore the faith in MrM.
The good news is OzFooty lives on which means MrM can continue to try and deliver the best possible write up each and every week. Whether people like admitting it or not we know MrM has a cult following, I feel like I am one small step away from superstardom.
MrM returns to Wanneroo Showgrounds this weekend, here's hoping those hot chips are pumping out by the bucket load. So if you're new to this area, get on board. Hot chips and gravy, where can you go wrong?
Even if I can't tip the winners, I will still tell you who I am tipping so let's get into it.
Swan Athletic v Wembley @Fawell Park
Swan Ath gave up a lead last weekend after being in front for most of the day they let an opportunity slip to get the season underway with a win. They will need to improve this week as they face a Wembley side looking to start the season strongly. After impressing with a win last weekend they will be up against it here facing a Swan Ath side desperate for a win. Swan Ath might be favourites at home, but Wembley's forward line might be too good here.

North Fremantle v Collegians @Gil Fraser Oval
North Freo fell to a very good Wembley outfit last weekend and should take plenty of positives out of that loss. They will still need to play good football this weekend if they are to beat a Collegians side destined for better things this season. Collegians looked good last weekend and if they can keep that side for majority of the season they will go far and definitely surprise a few sides along the way. North Freo will get it done here though.

Whitford v Quinns District @Macdonald Reserve MOTR
A Northern Suburbs Derby. I'm not too sure if Whitford have ever played Quinns in a League fixture? But it certainly hasn't been for a while if they have. That's why MrM has decided this is Match of The Round.
Whitford had a shock loss to Kingsway last weekend (although, tipped by MrM) they certainly won't be happy with getting the season off to such a slow start, especially after last season and should be looking to put up a better showing this weekend. Quinns, had a good win and will no doubt be looking to extend their B Grade winning streak to two. It should be a nice, tough clash, but Whitford should have too much experience and the bigger bodies might just help them.

Melville v Kingsway @Melville Reserve
Melville found the going tough last weekend in their return to B Grade, but they did come up against a Mt Lawley side with plenty to prove. Melville will have their own point to prove this weekend though and show they won't be easy beats some are expecting. Kingsway will be buoyed by a win last week and should be very confident of extending that here. They do have a tendency in the past though to win games they shouldn't and lose games they shouldn't. Here's hoping they have improved in that area as Kingsway should win here.

Wanneroo v Mt Lawley @Wanneroo Showgrounds
The Wanneroo army will be out in force again this weekend as football returns to Wanneroo Showgrounds in 2016. Wanneroo will need to improve on their efforts last weekend and play some more consistent football if they are to walk away with a win here. Mt Lawley will have different ideas, especially with big David McKinlay still patrolling the forward line, it presents a tough challenge for the Roos. They will have gained confidence from defeating Melville last weekend, but this isn't different challenge. In front of the home crowd though, Wanneroo will win in a tight battle.

That's it folks. Good luck to all representing their respective jumpers this weekend, regardless of team colours, or if you're a player or umpire, go out and have fun as that's what it's all about.
