So what teams are looking to field D2 teams this year?

I would think much the same as last year with Wembley going up maybe. Have heard ballajura were looking at having a4th side this season but that's not confirmed.

D2 - 3s & 4s from place
1 North Fremantle (b) D1 3
2 Mt Lawley (b) D1 8
3 Whitford (b) D2 1
4 Wembley (b) D2 2
5 Kingsley (C) D2 4
6 Wanneroo (b) D2 5
7 Bullcreek Leeming (C) D2 7

Could look like this if they do the promotion relegation system going off the A grade results.

My mate was also telling me Quinns might be fielding D2 teams as well this year

Has anyone heard when the fixtures will be released. I thought it was always the last week in February usually

Clubs haven't been sent gradings for 2016 yet... Nominations closed on 19th February.

I have also heard that North Beach were pushing for a sixth senior team this year, so they may also be an addition to D2 as well as D1.

Was a meeting at WAAFL last night with D1 and D2 clubs to discuss competition structures. Both will apparently be 8 team competitions with D1 teams comprised of clubs with 2 colts sides. North Beach to have sides in both D1 and D2.

If the above is correct. It's one of the smarter decisions of recent seasons. My only question would be what all clubs response was and how a team such as wanneroo that struggled in d2 last season but had 2 Colt sides feel about having to go up a grade. It maybe a win for a side that played d1 but ever had a second Colt side they go down. Always winners and losers I suppose.
