The Lynwood Ferndale Football Club is again offering new senior players in 2016 free club membership, only pay ball fees ($10 a game, game day shorts provided as well).
Colts players pay no membership fees, no ball fees and game shorts provided as well. Colts footy free at Panther park in 2016.
The other great thing down here is we paid $3.50 a Carlton Dry and $3 a mid strength in 2015. What did you pay?

Is paying players memebrship counted as paying players?
If paying for fuel cards ( i think Kelnscott got doen for that) surely paying all players fees is up there with the term remuneration?

I think you will find free means no one pays for the fees. You will find a lot of clubs have free fees for colts and a lot of clubs have players sponsored so they get fees free. A good way to try and attract players in areas that are finding it hard demographically.

Agree, Rug. Cannot see the Ammos having a problem with that. Only problem I could see would if any of the current players resent the new boys getting a free ride rather than an overall reduction, but if it makes the club stronger they need to get over that. Basic principle is to get 'em in and then show them what a great club you have so you get a few new players for life. Fail in that second part and all you have done is put a bit of extra financial strain on the club, but good on LF for trying. The more players we can keep playing the game, the better.

clubs don't have to charge membership fees nor do they have to charge ball fees, most club do it to off set the cost as they couldn't afford to survive without doing it. We are a fortunate club that own's its own clubrooms and all the profit goes back into the club.
This has been going on for years in the Ammos but never really advertised and we are in a position were we can offer this.
We offer it to all new juniors and seniors in 2016 no membership fees, we did the same thing last year.
The current players had no issue with it as they are all about the club, our seniors fees are $70 and $10 a game (have been for years), We do our best to make it a cheap as possible, need to as there are so many clubs close by.
