I think because it was so blatant and obvious it made the decision very easy for the waafl. Would really like to know how anyone could think it was an honest mistake. This kid should not even been in the pool for selection given the amount of games at wafl and performance. Pretty silly of the coach, owes the boys an apology.

What I do think is it has opened a can of worms as I'm sure other clubs have done the same. Makes for a huge rivalry next year

Coaches run the gauntlet doing it. This instance was pure stupidity given some of the comments on the field.
Hopefully a lesson to all coaches, breaking this sort of news to the playing group would be heart breaking.

Quite easy to hang the coach out here and rightly so but you can't tell me the entire club isn't at fault?! Surely the coach wasn't the only official to have known about this.

Congrats to Hamersley Carine for getting to the GF from 5th position, a great effort.
I for one hope they prevail in the Grand Final as I fear they will go like the yo-yo in A Grade 2016.

What happened to Wembley during the finals? they finished 2nd in both league and reserves and neither of them made the grand final.

Maybe they thought it was just going to happen or did they think it was there right to play in a grand final like they thought it was there right to hijack the Hamersley warm up, obviously there reserves players had been drinking all week as they had no idea with some of the comments they were yelling from the bar area.

If only T.Noakes showed as much courage in the game as he did in the warm up Wembley may have found themselves in the GF. Be interesting to see if Noakes, Noakes, Seal, Moody hang around next year or will the money dry up after not making A grade.

Well done to Hamersley on making the gf from 5th spot and standing up to the crap Wembley tried to dish up before the game. if they had of kicked straight could of won by a lot more as controlled the game all day.

Well done to HC on a win many would not have expected
I don't think Wembleys mindset was right on the day they came out for their warm up and wanted to blue HC over which end of the ground they should be on, focus gone right there in my opinion
Wembley started the game with the plus one behind the pill, defensive mindset from the start doesn't send the right message to the player group and makes the opposition think you are worried right from the word go
Spoke with a couple of Wembley boys during the game and they commented that the club was ready for A Grade next year makes you wonder of they just thought yesterday was a formality
Surprisingly yesterday neither side made use of a 3-4 goal breeze with both sides sticking by their game plans all day, i expected one of them to use the ball longer with the breeze to try and break the game open
HC pushed back well and with Wembley trying to maintain possession chipping the ball around became costly a couple of times as when you miss a target the opposition has numbers everywhere
Well done HC commiserations to Wembley
Good luck next week hopefully they can give an up and about Scarborough a run for their money
