A Grade Finals Week Two
2nd Semi Final:
Trinity Aquinas vs. University
Rnd 4: University def TA’s by 30 points
Rnd 12: University def TA’s by 9 points
The best two sides this year are rightly competing for a place in the Grand Final. Uni easily accounted for CBC last week and have had the wood over TA’s this year in both the previous encounters. I just have a feeling that whilst I still feel Uni are the best side on paper, in front of TA’s typically large group of parochial supporters, the home ground advantage might just be the difference. TA’s to win and advance to the Grand Final.
TA’s by 11 points
1st Semi Final:
CBC vs. Wesley Curtin
Rnd 9: CBC def Wesley by 9 points
Rnd 17: CBC def Wesley by 12 points
Whilst both matches this year have gone CBC’s way, Wesley turned up to play last week against Kelmscott and CBC got another attack of the collywobbles. Another straight sets exit from the finals and the window of opportunity for CBC to take out another A Grade Premiership may close for the club. Wesley know what it takes to win the big games and despite not having a home ground advantage, I am tipping them to get up in another close game.

2nd Semi Final:
Trinity Aquinas vs. CBC
Rnd 8: TA’s def CBC by 36 points
Rnd 16: TA’s def CBC by 12 points
Undefeated in 18 straight games TA’s will start firm favourites. CBC kept the difference to 2 goals last time, but with a full squad available, I expect TA’s to increase that margin this time out and join their League teammates in the 2015 Grand Final.
TA’s by 24 points
1st Semi Final:
North Beach vs. University
Rnd 1: Nth Beach def Uni by 39 points
Rnd 10: Nth Beach def Uni by 63 points
Whilst North Beach failed to perform last week, I don’t think the University reserves squad has the overall quality of the Beach outfit. As the game because of circumstance will be played on a neutral ground, I expect a comfortable win for the Beach boys.
North Beach by 24 points
Congratulations to Bradley Nisbett from West Coast and Klinton Williams from Wesley Curtin in winning the F&B Medals in the A Grade and A Reserves competitions.
