Roleystone vs. Yanchep
The inclusion of a number of quality players after long injury layoffs gives Roleystone more scoring potency and shores up their backline.
Yanchep’s physical and hard at the ball style of play will test Roleystone’s on-ballers and midfield players. The Yanchep forwards can score quickly and Roleystone’s back half will need to be at their best to stop Yanchep from kicking early goals and taking the game away from Roleystone.
The game can be won or lost at the stoppages and through the middle of the ground. The team that can control the play and then move the ball quickly and effectively to set up their forwards will go a long way to winning the game.
The home ground advantage gives Roleystone an edge, but at the same time Yanchep will be more match hardened as Roleystone have only played three games in the last six weeks. Roleystone played solid football in their loss to Swans a couple of weeks ago, but will need to improve to challenge Yanchep.
This game could go down to the wire based on their previous clashes and the final result could go either way.
East Fremantle vs. Swan Districts
With the loser to be eliminated, both teams will be desperate to stay in the finals hunt. Their home and away games have resulted in shared wins. Both teams possess plenty of strength and bulk which will eliminate any advantage in this area.
Freo’s chances lie with their ability to nullify the influence of Swans key forwards. This means winning more of the ball, controlling the play and giving their own forwards plenty of opportunities in front of goal.
With the game being played at Roleystone there is no home team advantage. The close confines of Cross Park may better suit East Fremantle's style of play and this might be enough to see them home in what should be a tight hard fought game.
