A little inaccurate is this post! We only have three genuine League players playing in the Twos. Two of them suffered major injuries at the start of the season and came back towards the end through the Twos, so we decided to qualify them... and the third didn't play all year as he was completing a Fire-Man Course and with only 6-games remaining, he chose to play the back end with his mates. The rest of the players have played the majority of the season in the Two's... as with all Reserves sides, very hard to get your best side on the park each week!

Don't quote me on this as I only played in one of the 4-games I am about to talk about, but in both games against Thornlie and Noranda, Canning Vale had decent results and were never 'smashed' regardless of the side we had on the park meaning an interesting couple of games are ahead of us. We take pride in being the team that has finished 5th and are now playing for a spot in the Grand Final!

On another note, I have heard two of Thornlie's main ball-winners (including the Assoc F& were Red-Carded on the weekend... anyone know the result of those cards?? Handy for us if they're out!

Correct about the red cards. Not sure on the result, but both at least miss this weekend with the compulsory week. The news will be about the Assoc F&B. On the way off he did turn around and take a few steps towards the umpire and then was pulled away by a team mate jobbing off. No arms were raised but he did noticeably change direction away from the boundary line to face the umpire. Not sure how the umpire interpreted it.

my intel is Thornlie took the cards for both players........

Not a good look getting red carded in a final and not being there to support your mates when it counts. Its a team sport so I hope the guys that were rubbed out reflect on how badly they have let everyone down, regardless of winning association B&F,

By taking the cards you mean taking the 1 week?

Not sure what protocol is but I know the players who were the victim's of the players shown red cards were called by the association early this week. So I was under the impression punishment hadn't been set straight after the game.
