Round 18
Well it is the last of the Home & Away fixtures for 2015. Assuming both TA’s (1st) def Mt Lawley (10th) and Uni (2nd) def Nth Freo (8th) then Kalamunda only need to beat Nth Beach to avoid relegation. In the other big game, if CBC defeat Kelmscott, then they will retain 3rd spot and play in the qualifying final next week.

(1) West Coast Cowan 7th (7 & 10) vs. Wesley Curtin 4th (11 & 6)
Last Time: West Coast def Wesley by 3 points

Wesley must win and rely on Kelmscott to defeat CBC to pinch 3rd spot on the table. West Coast lost their chance at a finals berth last week and will be playing for a win against the odds to take something positive with them into 2016.
Wesley by 24 points

(2) Mt Lawley 10th (0 & 17) vs. Trinity Aquinas 1st (14 & 3)
Last Time: Trinity Aquinas def Mt Lawley by 85 points

It has been a tough year for Mt Lawley. Mt Lawley put in their 2nd best performance of the year last week against Nth Beach. Let’s hope they do the same again this week. TA’s now have top spot and this week should just be a formality.
Trinity Aquinas by 60 points

(3) Kelmscott 5th (10 & 7) vs. CBC 3rd (12 & 5)
Last Time: Kelmscott def CBC by 69 points

With some late season signings Kelmscott have unearthed some good ex WAFL players in Donovan, Collard & Robinson. Collard has excelled in the last two weeks booting 5 against Uni and 11 last week against West Coast. If CBC don’t put a hard tag on each of these boys, then they will probably have to front up against the Doggies again in the elimination final next week. This game should be a beauty.
Kelmscott by 2 points

(4) North Beach 6th (8 & 9) vs. Kalamunda 9th (5 & 12)
Last time: Nth Beach def Kalamunda by 5 points

The big question is how much does this game mean to Nth Beach and will they (at Nth Freo’s expense) want to qualify a few more players to enhance their prospects of a Ressie's Flag. Kalamunda hardly fired a shot last week against University and will need to lift their game to have any chance against North Beach. I think it might be back to B Grade for the boys from the Hills in 2016.
North Beach by 24 points

(5) University 2nd (13 & 4) Vs Nth Fremantle 8th (5 & 12)
Last time: University def Nth Fremantle by 1 point

Notwithstanding University cannot lose 2nd spot they will want to make a big statement to their competitors in their last game before commencing their finals campaign. On the other hand, if Nth Freo wins then they will stay in A Grade in 2016, even if Kalamunda get up over Nth Beach. I still rate University as the 2015 Premiership favourites and they will not do the Port boys any favours.
University by 60 points

The fact is Kelmscott aren't finding any new players . Collard played with the club 2 /3 years ago and had a stint at Perth and has come back to the club. What they have been brilliant at is keeping the same side together over the last few years. The team that played Saturday had 18 B Grade premiership players from 2014 and 15/16 players from the C1 grand final in 2013. Those are incredible statistics for not only an Amateur club but for any football club really where most clubs would have a massive turnover of players from year to year. That is why they will be very dangerous in the finals because they are probably the most tight nit team in Amateur football and very familiar with each other's game and have a massive team spirit. Also only one player who has been cleared in in the last month is playing A grade and he was playing C2 reserves earlier this year . Check sporting pulse for these facts.

Sportingpolse tells us that you've had 3 players cleared (Level II Permits?) to you from WAFL clubs since June 30. Callum Collard has been cleared 3 separate times from Perth in the second half of the year. Are they Kelmscott players or just on loan?

West Coast Cowan vs. Wesley Curtin
Wesley easily by > 6gls

Mt Lawley vs. Trinity Aquinas
TA's easily by > 10gls

Kelmscott vs. CBC
If the Bulldogs belted CBC by 12 gls last time out without the new boys on the block, it should mean the margin will be greater in this match. .....Nah!
CBC by < 3 gls

North Beach vs. Kalamunda
I sense a Kalamunda upset which will mean A Grade again in 2016!!
Kalamunda by < 3 points

University Vs Nth Fremantle
Uni easily by > 10gls
