Here we are. After starting the season back on April 11 we have now reached the end of the Home and Away season. MrM is more excited than Ryan Crowley walking into an Amcal Chemist.
We have only had one real incident and that occurred in Round 1 with siren gate, something which may cost Whitford a place in the finals (that's if you believe what was written or what you heard). Well done to Scarborough who captured the Minor Premiership and now only stand one win away from A Grade in 2016. It's been a season to forget for Stirling and Maddington who will be relegated at the end of the season, who knows when they will be back. We still do not know the final make up of the Top 5 so it's gong to be an interesting last round for all sides either in the Top 5 or like Whitford trying to force their way in, all games matter, must wins all-round.
By now I'm sure you've all come to know and love MrM's favourite PERTH-onality (see that? That's called humour) Tony Galati. This great gent has ensured all readers of MrM's weekly write up be given a free catalogue to his stores in the post each month. For those who haven't received their free catalogue, see MrM for more details and how to claim said catalogue.
With a big round of football ahead no better time to start talking about it than right now...
Collegians v Wanneroo @Allen Park
Last time they met
Wanneroo 16.19 (115) defeated Collegians 7.5 (47)
After losing last weekend, Collegians are out of the race for finals but they will still be out to finish the season strong. It's been an up and down season for the "Brutal Blues" but they will be buoyant about heading back to Dalkeith Oval next season (presumably) and right in the heartland of the Golden Triangle. Wanneroo will need to win to ensure they finish in second spot on the ladder and earning themselves a home final the week after. I wouldn't expect Wanneroo to take it easy as they near finals, because they need a win to lock up second place. Wanneroo will get it done here.

Maddington v Whitford @Harmony Fields
Last time they met
Whitford 16.12 (108) defeated Maddington 4.12 (36)
For Maddington it's back to the drawing board for season 2016 as they try work out where it all went wrong in 2015. It could be a while before they storm up the grades again but heading to C Grade isn't world ending. Whitford cling to that hope of playing finals and all they need to do is win. It's a difficult position to be in hoping results go your way, but Whitford should be up and about as they hang on to the belief they could be playing finals. I'm tempted to go with Whitford, but Maddington may be out to add to their 1 win this season. I'm willing to risk my credibility and suggest Maddington could get up here.

Kingsway v Hamersley Carine @Kingsway Reserve
Last time they met
Hamersley Carine 10.10 (70) defeated Kingsway 10.6 (66)
Kingsway's goal was to ensure they didn't get relegated this season and to consolidate themselves in B Grade ready for 2016 and they have done just that. They have plenty of youngsters and it won't be long before they are pushing into that top 5. Hamersley Carne need a win to play finals the season. After being the form side early on in the season they have slipped and just cling onto the Fifth spot. They should get a win here and it will see them playing finals again this season.

Scarborough v Wembley @Millington Reserve MOTR
Last time they met
Wembley 8.10 (58) defeated by Scarborough 10.9 (69)
1 v 3 and it's a must win for Wembley if they want any chance of finishing second. Scarborough will be looking to fine tune before finals. But it should be a good quality match which is why I've awarded this Match Of The Round.
Scarborough, well done to them, they are now only 1 finals win away from A Grade. They have been the bench mark all season and will no doubt want to show why that is so on Saturday before they get themselves a week off. Wembley are still coming home strongly and have every chance of defeating Scarborough here and show everybody in finals they mean business. It should be a good game and I'm sure the Scar-Bras will be enjoying themselves a nice Moët or two on what should be a good Saturday afternoon. I think Wembley will win here as MrM loves a underdog/hotdogs (not the guy from Big Brother).

Stirling v Swan Athletic @Richard Guefli Reserve
Last time they met
Swan Athletic 22.15 (147) defeated Stirling 8.5 (53)
Stirling have been disappointing all season and every time I expected them to fire a shot they have barely raised a fight. In fact it's most surprising they actually defeated Scarborough all the way back in Round 1 this season, and since then they have barely done anything of use. Swan Ath will have to settle for Fourth on the ladder and no double chance after not being able to hold that lead till the final siren against Scarborough last weekend. (They could finish Fifth if they lose and that's maybe if they turn up with their Thirds side to play even then I'm not so sure they'd lose). Swan Ath should win by a monumental margin here.

I'm looking forward to the final round of football. I'll also be lurking around a few of Perth's hottest and hippest watering holes on Saturday Night, so look out Perthians. As for my fellow comrades at Collegians, MrM is expecting big things. MrM will endeavour to stay back for a beverage, or I might nick off to the Swanbourne Beach for a gander..
Good luck to all.
