Don’t want to tread on anyone’s toes but its Thursday and I am too pumped for a bit of C1 Chat.

Penultimate round this week and he comp couldn’t be in a better position with 7 teams still a mathematically in the race for finals, top spot up for grabs, 3rd place up for grabs and even a spot in C1 on the line for 2016.

Willetton (7th) v Ocean Ridge (6th) @ Burrendah -MOTR
Pretty much make or break for either team here. Willetton need a win and also need Kingsley and Ridge to lose in round 18 so even with a win you would think they are unlikely to make the 5 but a loss this week means they are mathematically gone. This is sure to be a tightly contested encounter and both teams will surely give it their all. I think the Blues will have the edge at their home ground to register a very narrow win.

Willetton at home by 2 goals.

Carlisle (4th) v Gosnells (10th) @ Carlisle Reserve
Carlisle missed a golden chance to keep 3rd spot last week against Bullcreek and now find themselves sitting 2 points behind the bombers on the table. The Cougars will look for a big win this week and should easily account for Gosnells and with a Bullcreek loss, will take 3rd spot back!

Carlisle by 10 Goals.

Lynwood Ferndale (9th) v Melville (2nd) @ Ferndale Reserve
The first of what should be 2 very one-sided games this week. Lynwood could still avoid relegation with a surprise win but you would expect the Rams to put on a clinic and keep their hopes for a minor premiership alive.

Melville by 10+ Goals

Bassendean (8th) v Quinn’s (1st) @ Jubilee Reserve
Bassendean aren’t completely safe from relegation with 2 tough games to come but you wouldn’t expect a boil over against Quinn’s who have clearly been the best team all year in this comp. Quinns will look to fine tune their game plan in prep for the finals with a likely break in round 1 of the finals, they won’t hold back.

Quinns by 15 Goals

Kingsley (5th) v Bullcreek Leeming (3rd) @ Kingsley Reserve - MOTR 2
Lots on the line for both teams here and this is my equal MOR this week. A Bullcreek win should see them secure 3rd spot (with a look ahead to round 18’s fixtures) and a win for Kingsley potentially locks them in for 5th. Both teams are coming off strong wins last week and I would expect this to be a very tight encounter. Kingsley will take confidence from their win over the Bombers back in round 8 and will definitely fancy their chances at home. I think Bullcreek should get up here with a 2nd chance on the line for them come finals.

Bullcreek by 3 Goals

Should be a cracking finish to the season with so much on the line for 9 of the 10 teams.

Willetton vs OR - Willetton are dropping out of form, and Burrendah holds no fear for any opposition (unless you are going there to enjoy their bar facilities and banter, if that's the case be afraid !). Ridge have the experience and will get the W in this one. OR by 3 goals.

Carlisle vs. Gosnells. This is effectively a bye for Carlisle. Gosnells have about as much chance of winning as the Aussies do in the 4th test. Gosnells to win the toss with a tails, Carlisle to win the game by 18 goals.

Lynwood vs Melville. The Rams trek east to take on the struggling Lynwood, and will heap the pain onto them. Lynwood always seem to come to play vs the Rams, but not this week. Rams by 13 goals and cement their place in the top 2.

Basso vs Quinns - Basso have done enough to survive in C1 for another year, and Quinns found some form last weekend flogging a decent OR side. That will set the trend for this weekend, Quinns big winners by 20+.

Kinsgley vs BullCreek. Both sides coming off a win last week, both side have plenty to play for. Both sides are inconsistent. BullCreek are due to choke, so I'll tip Kinsgley by 4 points !

Enjoy the beers all, and for all cricket fans out, stay strong !

I speak to you now on a wet and windy morning, for us small fellas this is a dream.

First up is willo and ridge, no time for these two, few blokes above agree with me. It will be a close game nonetheless and we will see who takes that last finals position, i'm tipping a draw!

Carlisle to be charged with murder, beating gossy by 90.

Quinns to get over the struggling basso by 45 points.

Interesting game this one, at home Kingsley could be a force, i'd make sure i'd come to play if i was from the creek, creek to just get up by 8 points.

The rams travel to the struggling lynwood, even with the wet weather there will be a stampede, rams to put on a clinic and win by 75 points!

Enjoy the day lads!

Results went as expected in the 3 games while Kingsley got the job done against Bullcreek Leeming and Ridge eliminated Willetton from the Finals Race and kept their slim chances of making it alive.

Lynwood and Gosnells are confirmed to be playing C2 next year.

Should be an exciting final round as the Minor Premiership, 3rd spot and 5th spot are all mathmatically up for grabs (although predicted results would suggest most of those are a foregone conclusion)
