Spencer.
To be honest, why do want to cross from Soccer to Aussie Rules?
Just my opinion but maybe you're better with Soccer. It's a very popular sport.
The local Wafl Aussie Rules has gone down the toilet with all the crap happening over the past several years. I would not express the terminology violent but the footy is no more violent than other sports I would have thought. There is a bit of biffo and fighting in a lot of other things too. But keep out of the trouble zone and you shouldn't have any problems.

Encourage the guy a bit more folks! Great to see him want to play this great sport.

I'm not sure of local clubs in Byford, but look for clubs that play in D or E grade. It's a great place to start and particularly in E grade most of us don't take it too seriously.

As for violence, in E grade I have never seen any punches or really cheap hits or anything like that. A few push and shoves here and there but nothing serious.

Would be great to have you Spencer in our great game. I would suggest you try Armadale amateur footy club. I know a few good people who play there and I here they are having fun.

What a load of CRAP westaussieguy. Ammo footy is generally played in very good spirit and there would be less then a handful of inccidents in a season.

There are 25 grades most with 10 teams so there is approx 2,250 games plus finals.

Piara waters would be a good option, they are only 15 mins from byford and sitting comfortable on top of c3.

Only go to Piara if you're a massive flogger, that way you'll fit in with the rest of em there
