Round 16 is upon us in what looms as a weekend of wet weather football. Some interesting results in round 15 has set up some blockbuster matches, with some sides looking to consolidate on a good recent run of form, whilst others are trying to cling onto their finals hopes.

BullCreek vs. Carlisle MOTR. This looks to be a belter down at Beasley. The bombers coming off a big win against Lynwood, whilst Carlisle did their top 3 aspirations no help going down to an inconsistent Kingsley outfit. Plenty on the line with the winner moving into the top 3. BullCreek by 11 points.

Gosnells vs Lynwood. Battle of the cellar dwellers, and realistically, both teams last chance for a win in C1. Both teams received touch ups last week, so not much form to speak of coming in. I'm tipping Lynwood in an ugly affair by 31 points.

Ocean Ridge vs Quinns. Quinns pretty much had the premiership sown up 5 weeks ago, but a poor run of form has them at risk of dropping from top spot for the first time this year. Ocean Ridge are one of 3 sides fighting for the final position in the top 5, and can ill afford to drop a game at home if that dream is to be reached. All this rain will have Heathridge Park looking a million bucks, and with that in mind, I'll tip Ocean Ridge by 15 points in a dog fight.

Kingsley vs Bassendean. Kinsgley are the Jekyll and Hyde of C1 footy. On their day, capable of beating any side. On the other day, capable of losing to Bassendean at home. Still, too much at stake for Kingsley in this game and they should get the job done in the vicinity of 40 points.

Melville vs Willetton. Old rivals meet again at Stock Road ! Melville are in great form, having not lost a game since round 9. Willetton are much improved, beating BullCreek and Kingsley in the last month. Melville are coming off a big win vs Quinns, and will go into the game as heavy favourites. However Willetton are that one side capable of ruining some season. Still, on their home paddock, in fornt of the Rams faithful, the Rams home by 26 points and taking top spot in the process.

Enjoy the weekend all, play in the right spirits, and enjoy the froth.

3 cracking games this week as we get down to the business end of the season.

Creek to edge Carlisle at home by 1 goal
Lynwood by a point in the Cellar Dweller Cup
Quinns to get back on track and beat Ridge by 5 goals
Kingsley too strong 6 Goals plus
Rams too strong should get up by 3 goals.

Morning gentlemen, what an interesting round this will be.

Bullcreek vs Carslisle is a massive game in the scheme of final positions on the ladder, being at home i think the creek will just get up, winners by less than a goal.

Preview of C2 2016 finals series here, in a sloppy game lynwood by 21 points.

Another belter game this one, ridge really need a win to solidy a finals berth whereas quinns need a win if they wanna remain in top spot, in a tight affair ridge to win by 4 points.

Kingsley have struggled of late but they will get over basso by 27 points.

Another huge game as the inform willo take on the rams at stock road, willo will be brought down to earth after today's game and melville really to stamp their authority on top spot, winners by 23 points.

The Creek had a big win over Carlisle to get into the top 3. Makes this week against Kingley super important to ensure that the top 3 spot is locked up

Pretty interesting 2 weeks coming up. A lot of the top 7 will be facing each other in round 17 and 18.

If results go to the favourites, I can't see the ladder changing too much.

Everyone in the top 5 would think they are a chance come the finals but I think it really comes down to the top 3.
