I believe someone from our club called them Friday to alert them to our mistake.

Could be costly in the scheme of things, but mistakes happen so not a lot we can do about it now.

I'm not trying to be cynical here PH but if he's not registered then how does his name end up on the team sheet? I find it odd that in round 15 you make a "mistake" and then dob yourselves in! Makes me wonder if there has been any other "mistakes" along the way.

Could of been a case they thought they didn't need to re register like you need to do online now! Which because of that stupid new system silly little mistakes like this can happen!!!!!! Just my opinion anyways

Can't be put on the team sheet in sporting pulse unless you have reregistered - you have a list of eligible names to choose from.....

I hardly ever comment on here & probably should keep my opinion to myself but it definately raises several concerns re clubs playing unregistered players this late in the season. How can you even enter the team-sheet online as I wouldn't have accepted it in the first place is beyond me.

Certainly gifted Swan View a double chance final against Piara now but regardless of that surly they knew he wasn't registered prior to naming him surly. Has this player played in any other games? As big a pain in the ass as it was but I'm still a fan of the photo concept as that eliminated any "cheating". Wouldn't be hard to load individual pics on club iPads these days.

Which i call bullshit because they would've known he wasn't registered before he played as his name wouldn't have been able to be loaded on to the team sheet.
I too like Hobbsy wonder how many other games this bloke had played so far,league and ressies,as it seems odd a player would be playing his 1st game in round 15.

I believe the player in question has only played the one league game but played a number of ressies games before that. My understanding is that there may be an issue with a clearance but Piara Waters believed him to be cleared and registered to play. The player is listed in Sporting Pulse so maybe the club was entitled to believe he could play.

Sorry to say, but surly if he's played more than 1 game being unregistered then Piara definately got off lightly with the one result being turned around. Sorry PH, there's really no excuse for playing unregistered players if this is the case. Coaches/Managers know their responsibilities & are trusted to do their jobs correctly. Just disappointing this has happened that's all.
