Well most results went the way as planned. Wembley and Whitford are on the charge and it's pretty much game over for Stirling and Maddington.

MrM arrived nice and early at the biggest oval in B Grade and felt like a nice reunion as I was reacquainted with my old stomping ground. The stories MrM could tell you would leave you in astonishment but that's for another day.

The colts got off to a good start as they were up and about ready for a good contest, they led at quarter time and at half time. However a poor third quarter cost them dearly as they fell behind and couldn't regain the lead. Ultimately they have had a few close losses which is the difference between a good season and a bad, but they aren't the only she like that.

The Reserves started off like the colts, they made a good start as they led at quarter time and half time but again like the colts they fell away and were unable to play like they had been in the first half. They too ran out of legs as it seemed to be a common theme for the day. They will be another side ruing the close losses they have had this season.

MrM ventured up to the canteen to see what Scarborough had to offer and it's fair to say MrM left quite satisfied. MrM saw the make your own hamburger section and was quite happy to see it was still on offer, MrM also loved the hot dog as it looked quite appetising, with the dog bigger then the bun, but we all know MrM only goes to the football for hot chips. They were not bad, they could have been cooked for a little longer, but otherwise a good effort. The canteen was suitably priced and I'll award it a 7/10.

Wanneroo's League side were ready to go in this important clash for the MrM Perpetual Shield. You wouldn't believe it (you might if you read the scores) but Wanneroo got off to another good start and seemingly were well in control early on in the game. It was the second quarter where Scarborough really took control, former coach and current captain Ben Walker did as he pleased and probably was the single reason Scarborough got back into it. Heading into half time Wanneroo still had a 2 goal lead but they knew Scarborough were coming. It was at half time that MrM had a good experience.

As I was heading back to the clubrooms to see if MrM had his name placed on the honour boards yet (sadly MrM is not on them) I was accosted by a lovely lady whom seemed to know MrM, (MrM has befriended many ladies in my time so when somebody says they know the great man, I hope they aren't chasing child support).
But I had the pleasure of meeting ladies whom dubbed themselves the Scar-Bras, they were long time fans of MrM. We shared a good laugh and it was good to meet fans, I just wish I had brought along my signed photos, but I had sold out. Hopefully we can catch up again in the future, I still owe that bottle of Champagne, plus you still owe me those phone numbers..MrM is always looking for a MrsM.
As I walked back to the grassy knolls where MrM was seated, I couldn't help but think this is how Tom Jones would feel when he is mobbed by ladies in the streets. (Side note, Delilah by Tom Jones is a karaoke classic) and I had a pep in my step for the remainder of the day.

Sadly the half time fun was the only good note of the afternoon as Scarborough completed dominated Wanneroo in the third term. MrM thought Scarborough was good in the second quarter, well they were amazing in the third. The only dampner for the day was some clown for Scarborough wearing his North Beach shorts, but when you looked at the gent and his haircut, you knew he didn't have his life in order so I'm not surprised if he just turned up to the wrong ground and played for whatever side he fancied. That and a few Scarborough players ran onto the ground before the player they were replacing came off, tut tut tut Scarborough. After being dominated in the third quarter, Wanneroo were still quite buoyant and ready to get themselves back into the game with a good start to the last quarter. Well they had a good start but couldn't capitalise as it was Scarborough who controlled the play and ran away with the game as Wanneroo got a consolation goal in the end it could have been a worse result. As they lost by 6 goals. With Wembley now only two points behind Wanneroo the Roos must lift if they want to stay inside the top 3.

Scarborough showed why they are the best side in the competition and will take some beating in the finals. MrM showed on Saturday night, why he is regarded as the best off the field.

MrM thanks for the write-up. Obviously the results didn't go to your plan as you only got 1 tip right for the weekend?

I like tipping an upset, I did get 7/9 in AFL tipping, however It's not my fault some teams just don't want to help me out.
Well spotted from you The_Duck. if I tip 5/5 next week do I redeem myself? Or has that time passed.

You tip 5/5 this week and I'll give you a virtual high five from my desk.
Good to see the chips down at Scarborough weren't too bad.

Postman No unfortunately last time I was at Gosnells I cannot recall eating the hot chips.
I do recall upon entry into the City of Gonsells our bus had a choc milk thrown at it, and that was the tone set for an interesting day.
