After the past weekend we are now two-thirds of our way through the regular season. The top 5 is almost set, I doubt we will see much change but stranger things have happened in football. As for relegation, MrM says it might be time to stop wishing we will see a battle and that its curtains for both Stirling and Maddington. Sorry to be negative all, but that's the truth and MrM likes to call it as he sees it.
For all sports lovers these last couple of days would have been your ideal situation. Whether you love Rugby League, Cricket, Football, Cycling, or Tennis we have seen plenty of sport on offer for all to watch. MrM has felt compelled to not miss any sport out so I've been taking it all in. I'm not sure if all these venues supply hot chips, but MrM would love nothing more than tucking into hot chips and gravy at Wimbledon, that being said though I would happily settle for strawberries and cream. I wonder how Tony Galati's blue bonds chesty and navy stubbie shorts would go down at Wimbeldon, I think they would be well received.
Once again MrM has gone off on a tangent and forgotten why you all read this forum, and that's the football, so I'll hop straight into it.
Collegians v Scarborough @Allen Park
Last time they met
Scarborough 11.10 (76) defeated Collegians 9.14 (68)
If Collegians want to play finals, it is simple, they need to win and win soon. Another loss and it could be to hard a task to make up that ground they need to jump into fifth place. Scarborough, all they need to do is keep winning and that will set them up for a very good chance at finishing on top of the ladder come season's end. It will be no easy feat though and you'd expect them to continue on their winning ways here if they play as they have been. Scarborough to give the Collegians boys a touch up.

Maddington v Stirling @Harmony Fields
Last time they met
Stirling 13.14 (92) defeated Maddington 10.11 (71)
Well this game has a lot more to offer than you may think. Maddington have a great chance to win their second game of the season and even lift themselves off the bottom of the ladder. If Maddington do win it could almost kill Stirlings chance to avoid relegation. Stirling need to win here to have any serious chance to getting out of relegation, as said a loss would kill their chances and they would just play the season out in hope of doing something meaningful. I think Maddington at home may just be too good.

Kingsway v Wembley @Kingsway Reserve
Last time they met
Wembley 10.16 (76) defeated Kingsway 11.5 (71)
Kingsway gave themselves breathing room last weekend as they fought off relegation for the time being. Playing a Wembley side on the march though will present another big challenge for them however. Wembley are coming home strongly, and any side taking them lightly should reconsider. They have a potent forward line and a solid midfield to go with that, which poses a threat to any side playing against them. They should be too much for Kingsway to handle here as Wembley should grab yet another win.

Whitford v Hamerlsey Carine @MacDonald Reserve
Last time they met
Hamersley Carine 13.8 (86) defeated Whitford 10.9 (69)
Whitford season is virtually over. They have only a very slim chance of playing finals and they still sit too close to relegation however given percentage they would need to capitulate for that to happen. They play for respect and building for 2016, that being said I'm sure they'll be out to win every game to prove MrM wrong. Hamersley will be hoping they don't slip up again as they are losing touch with the top 3 of the ladder and a double chance in finals. After losing two games in a row they will be desperate to win here and they should do so, and quite comfortably.

Wanneroo v Swan Athletic @Wanneroo Showgrounds MOTR
Last time they met
Swan Athletic 19.9 (123) defeated Wanneroo 17.6 (108)
Third v Second on the ladder and it will be a twilight fixture with majority of the game to be played under lights with the 4.30pm start. It's sure to create a good atmosphere. MrM suggests if you aren't playing to rug up as it gets quite chilly at Wanneroo when the sun goes down so I've awarded this Match Of The Round.
Wanneroo are looking to maintain touch with the top of the ladder as finishing inside that top 3 is vital to gain that double chance in the finals. Back at home and in front of a Wanneroo crowd that will be pumped up, they would hope to reverse the result of the last encounter between these two. Swan Ath will not want to lose this game as they could fall a game and considerable percentage behind Scarborough at the top of the ladder. They have proven so far this season they are one of the sides to beat, it will be a big game for the 22 gents representing their respective sides on the weekend with plenty on the line. Wanneroo at home in front of vocal crowd will get it done in a very close game.

Good luck to all this weekend. MrM is may be bleary eyed over the next few days with The Ashes, Wimbledon and Tour de France all to watch. So try not to upset this great man as I may be on edge.
