Payments to local footballers will be capped at $500 per match with a limit of $3000 on players per game from next season (2016).

This is for Amateurs and country footballers in South Australia.

This was printed in the SA sunday times.

So if we follow suit in WA, I hope the minimum number of players allowed on the ground is reduced to 10. otherwise a lot of A / B grade clubs will be forfeiting matches in 2016. Country clubs will be licking there lips.

That's big coin $3000 a game, season cap of $54000 + coaches. Most lower grade clubs couldn't survive paying out that amount for a fortnight let alone sustain it for a number of years.
We all hear the rumours that it's $50000+ to be up there in B grade and $75000+ for A grade.
Make it extremely hard for lower grade club to keep their good players from being poached by more financial clubs, would send a lot of clubs to the wall and possibly loss clubs which isn't want the amateurs would want having predicted the number of clubs growing in the future.
Personal don't think a salary cap would work because the club who are currently paying players will just pay more, so it's either open slather or not at all.
Future flags to the highest bidder
